Ruben Amorim is settling into his role at Manchester United, adding a commanding win over Everton to his recent results.
The Portuguese manager and his squad dominated Everton in a 4-0 win at Old Trafford which saw braces from Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford.
The pair were both set up by Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo with the duo assisting both goalscorers equally.
Fernandes and Rashford were lined up just behind Zirkzee as the solo striker, whilst Amad is getting comfortable in his new role as a right-wing-back.
With the 22-year-old looking more and more comfortable on the right-hand side of Amorim’s system, his worth in Amorim’s plans is clear.
The Ivory Coast international has featured in each of United’s outings under Ruben Amorim, grabbing three assists in the process.

Ruben Amorim praises Amad Diallo
After the Everton game, Amorim commented: “He was really good again. He’s in a great moment, but that moment starts with the group. So, I just take advantage of Ruud’s [van Nistelrooy] work with Amad.”
He continued: “Amad was really good defensively and really good attacking and he has to continue to play like that. You could feel at the end of the game that he was really, really tired, so we also have to manage that as he increases the physical ability.”
Now, The Telegraph have reported that the Portuguese manager is reportedly looking to secure Amad’s future at United as the winger’s contract is coming to an end.

Manchester United prioritise extending Amad Diallo’s contract
Due to expiring in July 2025, Amad has six months left, being eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with other clubs in January.
The club hold the right to extend his contract by 12 months if they wish to do so. However this needs to be done before January to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Speaking back in September, Amad made his feelings on the matter very clear, saying he wants to remain with the club.
Amad explained: “[My footballing dream is] to win more trophies with the club. I want to win a lot of trophies.”
He continued: “Champions League, Premier League, everything. I want to win with this club, that is my dream.”
With the winger desperate to remain with the club, it’s hard to believe that he’d reject an offer from the club to stay, making his renegotiations appear to be more of a formality.
