The day has arrived that Manchester United’s new head coach, Ruben Amorim, has touched down in England.
The Portuguese manager has been appointed as the permanent replacement for Erik ten Hag, with the club having sacked the Dutchman last month.
In the meantime, United have had a successful run under interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
With four games spanning three wins and a draw, scoring 11 goals, United are looking like they’re on the rise once more.
In his farewell address to fans, van Nistelrooy commented: “From [Monday], I will be getting behind our new head coach, Ruben Amorim, and I urge everyone who loves the club to do the same.”
Meanwhile, Amorim has only been further building excitement for his arrival with his final few games at Sporting Lisbon.

His penultimate match saw the Portuguese side defeat United’s rivals Manchester City 4-1 in the Champions League with a truly impressive performance. Then, in his final game as Sporting manager, he took on his former club, Braga, bringing Sporting back from 2-0 down at half-time to a 4-2 win.
The Ruben Amorim era begins
United are preparing now for a new era at Old Trafford, with Amorim having a very different play style to Erik ten Hag, and the 39-year-old set to start his reign today.
The Portuguese manager has now touched down in Manchester ahead of his new journey as United’s manager.
With the recent results from The Red Devils and their recent injury boosts with Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia all progressing on their road to recovery, Amorim will no doubt be excited to getting to work with his squad.
Amorim has two weeks now to prepare for his first game with United which will see The Red Devils travel to Ipswich on 24th November before hosting Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford in the Europa league on 28th November.
