Ruben Amorim will take arrive at Carrington and take charge of Manchester United tomorrow.
The Portuguese manager is already thinking about strengthening his squad and has picked out an experienced transfer target.
Contrary to rumours, Amorim has insisted that he will not shop in Lisbon and take players with him from Sporting to Old Trafford in January.
‘I will not sign any Sporting player at Man United in January… then, what happens in the summer I don’t know,’ he said.
‘Sporting players are good players. We will see what happens…’

Instead, Ruben Amorim is interested in bringing former Manchester City player Danilo to United.
The 33-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is already looking for a new club, as per The Mirror.
Juventus would be willing to sanction a move in January, as the centre back does not plan to re-sign with the Italian side.
They would rather lose Danilo for a small fee than receive nothing at all.
A move to United would cost INEOS very little – Transfermarkt estimate his value to be around €7million.
As his contract expires in a matter of months, his real cost could end up being even lower.

With Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire’s contract’s expiring at the end of the season, Danilo would add valuable experience to United’s defensive line.
Specifically, 18-year-old Leny Yoro would benefit massively from having the Brazilian as a mentor.
Whether INEOS will sanction such a move is unknown – a signing like Danilo is the antithesis of their transfer policy, which prioritises young talent with high potential.
Amorim remains interested in the centre back but would have to strongly convince United’s new ownership that a move would be a suitable piece of business.
