Well it’s all set, Ruben Amorim is going to be joining Manchester United as their new permanent manager.
The news began emerging on Monday that United were working to sealing a deal with the exciting young manager, the same day they sacked Erik ten Hag.
It was reported that Amorim was keen to join The Red Devils, however a compensation fee and notice period need to be arranged with Sporting Lisbon.
It’s now understood that not only will Amorim be moving to Old Trafford, but five of his backroom team will also be joining him.

It’s recently emerged that Ruud van Nistelrooy’s time in change of The Red Devils will be slightly extended, with Amorim set to remain at Sporting until the November international break, a period which will see Sporting take on Manchester City in the Champions League and Amorim’s former club, Braga, in the Liga Portugal.
Whilst it was known that United paid a discounted rate to active Amorim’s release clause of £8.3 million (€10 million), the full cost of the deal has now been revealed.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that on top of the release clause, United will be paying the Portuguese club £840,000 (€1 million) in compensation for the other staff that are moving too.
It’s understood that Ruben Amorim is being given a contract for three years, taking him to 2027, with all the documents to be signed this week.
