Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has not shied away from making bold and honest remarks during his challenging stint at Old Trafford.
Following a 3-1 defeat to Brighton, Amorim delivered a blunt assessment of his team’s struggles, labeling them as “the worst Manchester United team in history.”
Brighton dominated the match, scoring through Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter, while United managed just one shot on target.

The defeat added to a series of abysmal performances at Old Trafford, with the club enduring its worst home record in 131 years.
United fans, still mourning the loss of legend Denis Law, witnessed another lackluster display, with Andre Onana’s blunder becoming a focal point of criticism.
Amorim addressed the difficult situation after the game, emphasizing the need to acknowledge the club’s current state.

In the post match press conference, he stated: “We are the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United.
“I know you want headlines, but I am saying that because we have to acknowledge that and change that.”
The manager admitted the gravity of United’s form, adding: “In 10 games in the Premier League, we won two, I know that.
“Imagine this for a fan of Manchester United, imagine this for me.
“You are getting a new coach who is losing more than the last coach.”
Despite the poor form, Amorim vowed to stay committed to his philosophy, insisting, “I’m not going to change the way I see the game.
“I’m very clear on that.
“The players are going to suffer, I’m sorry, the fans are going to suffer.
“I have one way of doing things, I know it’s going to bring results.”
With United currently sitting 13th in the table and closer to relegation than the top four, Amorim’s candid comments reflect the dire need for improvement.
He concluded: “It is a hard moment.
“We have to acknowledge we are in a very difficult situation.
“All the bad records, losing games at home, losing in the Premier League, we are really underperforming.”
Amorim’s remarks highlight the daunting challenge ahead for the Red Devils as they attempt to salvage their season.
