The Manchester United saga that is the future of Marcus Rashford is taking some massive twists and turns daily, with Ruben Amorim now weighing in on the matter.
Last week it was announced that United are looking to sell their star attacker, with the financial benefits of a £40 million sale being a driving factor.
Then it was announced that Rashford was dropped from the squad to face Manchester City in Ruben Amorim’s first Manchester Derby of his tenure.
After the 2-1 win, Rashford took to social media, congratulating his team on the victory. However, only days later, an interview emerged with Rashford confirming his desire to leave Old Trafford.
Speaking to Henry Winter, Rashford commented: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”
Now, Amorim has responded to these comments after being questioned about them by the press.

Ruben Amorim addresses Marcus Rashford’s “new challenge” comments
In a recent press conference responding to questions about Rashford’s recent comments on wanting a new challenge, Amorim expertly quietened anything rising from the media.
United’s new manager was asked how he felt about Rashford saying he’s ready for a new challenge, to which he responded: “I think he’s right.”
He continued: “We have here a new challenge. It’s a tough one. For me, this is the biggest challenge in football because we are in a difficult situation and already said that this is one of the biggest clubs in the world so this is really a new challenge and the biggest one and I hope that all my players are ready for this new challenge.”
Later on in the conference, Amorim added: “We are better with Marcus Rashford and that’s simple.”
He continued: “We try different things to push him to the best level he has shown in the past. That is all.”
