Manchester United sacked Erik Ten Hag on October 28 following a series of lackluster performances.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has since stepped in as interim manager as United sought out their next manager.
The Dutchman has reinvigorated a previously underwhelming United team to a four-game unbeaten streak.
Van Nistelrooy has voiced his strong desire in staying with the club beyond his interim role, a sentiment reiterated throughout this spell.

“I appreciated the clear communication of the club, it was an interim spell for a short term,” The Dutch manager stated.
“It could have been one or two games — they kept me in the loop — it was four and for me it was important to have that clarity.
“For me, the most important thing is the football club and I am here to support that and I want to continue that.
“The communication was that after the block of four there will be communication towards you and your colleagues.”
Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim was announced as United’s head coach on November 1.

However, sources close to ESPN report that Amorim is facing delays in beginning his tenure as head coach of United.
Originally, United announced Amorim as their new gaffer “subject to work Visa requirements.”
The young Portuguese manager has yet to receive final approval that he is able to begin his duties at United.
Although Amorim is expected to arrive in Manchester on Monday, he will be unable to lead training sessions until he secures the necessary clearance to start his journey.
Fortunately for Amorim, an international break is near, with many players on national team duty, allowing additional time to settle in.
