This weekend saw a massive win for Manchester United as they beat local rivals Manchester City in the first Manchester derby of the season.
Ruben Amorim’s men held strong to emerge with a 2-1 win with several talking points.
United’s solid trio of Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt look to be getting stronger, however, were beaten by Josko Gvardiol in yet another corner.
On the attack, Amad Diallo showed why Amorim regards him so highly in his long-term plans at Old Trafford, drawing a penalty for Bruno Fernandes to draw the team level. Then scoring himself just over a minute later in a moment of magic to secure the win.
However, a massive talking point before the game was Marcus Rashford being left from the starting lineup.
United’s star attacker has been coming under scrutiny once more, with his future at Old Trafford in question.
The Red Devils are considering selling their academy graduate to generate funds for transfers and to relieve the club’s financial pressures. With a wage of £325,000 per week, Rashford is one of the club’s highest-paid players, taking up a huge portion of the salary cap.
However, there are further factors at play, with off-field factors affecting his performances leading to the club being concerned that he’s no longer focused on his football.

Roy Keane encourages Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United
Now, United legend Roy Keane has commented on the situation, tipping Rashford for a move away from Old Trafford.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane commented: “A move for Marcus would suit the player – a new challenge for him.
“He’s been there a long time. When you’re at a big club and your attitude is not right – and it hasn’t been great recently – sometimes it’s good to part ways.”
Currently, the most likely destinations for Rashford appear to be the giants of Barcelona or PSG, with both clubs monitoring his situation. However, with his considerable wage expectations, it could well be that PSG are the only club with the ability to sign the star.
