Battle Passes have become one of the most common ways for video games to keep players coming back on the regular with consistent rewards even if they aren’t well liked by many in their respective fan bases.
Alongside Lucilius and the Version 1.1 update, Cygames added the first Battle Pass to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising featuring an exclusive costume for Narmaya.
Like many other games, Granblue Rising offers free and premium versions of the pass with better items offered for those who pay.
Rupies, Draw Tickets, character colors, weapon skins, badges, stickers, music, battle cards, avatars and more can be obtained by leveling up the pass level, and unlike Street Fighter 6, GBVSR’s at least offers a reward for every level for free users — even if many of them are just money and tickets.
It is rare for Arc System Works-developed fighters to receive alternate costumes due to the way they’re basically animated by hand, but it seems they’ll be pushing themselves for Granblue.
To get Narmaya’s new outfit, however, players will need to max out the premium pass to level 60, and since there’s only 40 days in the pass, that’s more than a level a day needed to clear it.
The battle pass can be leveled up by completing standard, daily, and weekly missions worth various points like playing online matches, performing certain moves like Raging Chains and more.
Players can purchase the premium pass if they so wish for $8 USD, and because Cygames likes money, you can buy 10 levels of it instantly for $5.
It appears as though the free-to-play version of Granblue can access the free battle pass, but won’t allow you to purchase the premium pass.
More information can be found in game or on the official website, and you can check out some of the main rewards below.
