Nier and Siegfried weren’t the top dogs and Johnny showed up big
It’s been just a few weeks since the Arc World Tour Finals 2023 reached its big conclusion, and the action is already well underway again.
Many of the top players from North America are facing off in another major now with an anime emphasis at Slashback 2024, so we’ve gone back and gathered up the character stats for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and Guilty Gear Strive.
As for Granblue, there seems to be more character variety than we saw at the finals, and while Siegfried and Nier were still among the most picked here, they were not the most popular.
That title goes to some familiar faces from the first game in Belial and Ferry with them both having at least three players taking them far in the bracket.
Despite that, however, we still saw a top 8 with all unique mains plus a whopping 20 different ones across the top 32 where half were repeats.
With around 190 players signed up, these rankings represent the top 17% of competitors at the event.
• Belial – 3 (1)
• Ferry – 3
• Gran – 2 (1)
• Siegfried – 2 (1)
• Nier – 2

• Djeeta – 1
• Charlotta – 1
• Eustace – 1
• Anila – 1
• Vira – 0 (1)
• Lucilius – 0 (1)
Moving on to Guilty Gear, things were pretty spread out there too with 13 mains being used in the top 16 and nobody used more than twice.
The only fighter we saw repeat in the top 8 was actually Johnny of all characters despite his tier rankings being pretty low since he released last year.
Since around 100 people came to compete in Strive here, this represents the best 16% of players in the bracket.
