Ruben Amorim is testing his squad at Manchester United, relying on adaptability for the players to fit into his system.
Some of the squad are fitting in seamlessly, with the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez remaining as key centre-backs, and Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo in central midfield.
However other players are testing out where they fit into the squad best.
Noussair Mazraoui seems to have found his spot in the back three, playing more centrally. Amad Diallo is playing more defensively as a right-wing-back, excelling in the role.
Marcus Rashford has been in as a solo striker and an attacking midfielder, scoring in both roles. Bruno Fernandes has also played in attacking midfield and as a defensive midfielder against Arsenal with Mainoo suspended.
However, Rio Ferdinand has now tipped one United star to truly excel under Amorim.

Rio Ferdinand questions United’s attacking options
The former United star recently questioned the attacking options at Old Trafford, fearful over how Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho will fare under Amorim.
Speaking on his YouTube Channel, Rio Presents, Ferdinand commented: “I worry about can the players that we have fit into what Amorim wants.”
He continued: “You look at Garnacho and you look at Rashford. Can they fit into that inside forward position, where the wingers come inside and almost become number tens at times?
“Is that really the position where they are going to excel? I hope they can grow that type of ability to play in there.
“Rasmus Hojlund. Is he going to be our [Viktor] Gyokeres? Is he going to be the guy that we can play through and play up to and play in behind for? I think that remains to be seen.
“Antony hasn’t shown that yet. Zirkzee as well, where’s he going to fit into all this? I think there’s more work to be done and more urgently in the forward areas because we don’t seem to have the cohesiveness up there.
“I can see where the defenders are going to fit in, and the midfielders. But there is more work to be done, and more urgently, in the forward areas because we don’t seem to have the cohesiveness in there.”
However, one solid point of hope Ferdinand made was around Amad Diallo and how he could fit into the attacking line-up. Ferdinand commented: “I think Amad could play in one of those ‘ten’ positions, with Bruno,”
Whilst this might be possible, Amorim seems set on Amad holding his position on the right, having supplied two assists against Everton in the role.
