Residents form new Lion Club in Calabar, invites public to fundraising for community

Service-minded young men and women in the ancient city of Calabar are joining the world’s largest service organisation, Lions Clubs International. The new club —Calabar Royal Lions Club will join the more than 46,000 lions clubs making a difference in communities around the world NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed.
Therefore the general public is hereby invited to the official Calabar Royal Lions Club Charter Celebration/Fundraising to help further our work of helping communities.
The event is scheduled as follows:
Date: Saturday, 17th November,  2018
Time: 2pm prompt (no African time)
Venue: Jorany Hotels,  Asari Eso Layout off MCC/Timber Market. (Dinner party afterwards @ same venue).
‘Lions are people who want to help, who want to make a difference, and who want to have fun while doing it. Lions give a lot to their communities, but they get back something that’s even more valuable –the satisfaction that comes from changing lives,’ said District Governor – Lion Engr. Otoabasi Ansa of Lions District 404A2 Nigeria.
In addition to providing hands-on support, Lions clubs give members an opportunity to advance worthy causes, serve with friends and become leaders in their communities.
Consequently, interested members in Calabar who want to learn more about Lions and how they can make a difference in their communities are welcome to a one-hour information session scheduled for every Thursdays at 4pm prompt at Pearl Suite MCC Road, Calabar.

Prior to the Charter Celebration, Lion leaders will also be visiting local businesses and community leaders to invite them to join the new club.
