In the latest transfer news, Manchester United is reportedly eyeing Sporting’s defensive midfielder Morten Hjulmand as a future prospect for their team.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, negotiations have already begun for the Danish international, who has a significant £68million release clause in his current contract.
As per the report, United, understanding the terms of the deal, knows that they need to meet the £68million price tag to secure the 24-year-old’s services. Sporting, on their part, is keen to retain Hjulmand and are considering offering him the role of captain in an effort to persuade him to stay.
