Report: Water Board (CRSWBL) Pipes Being Vandalized In Almost Every Areas Across Calabar

I was taking a tour around the city of Calabar starting from Mon 7 up to date, and I discovered that more than 10 streets in the city has their water pipes bursted. This in turn will lead to shortage of water during the festive and dry season period and as well as contamination.

Most people are using the medium to fetch and use the water for free. When asking some kids playing around with the water, they could only say they are enjoying free water and that it’s sometimes hard for them to pay water bills. But, anyways, the fact still remains that Water Board is still the cheapest source of water in the state because it’s affordable even for the less privileged. Why the people still complaining I don’t know and even to the extent of going about vandalizing the water pipes.
