Red Bull Kumite is back for 2025 and not only that, it’s back to where it all began — Paris, France.
The players participating in the main competition are Zeta|Kakeru, WBG|MenaRD, KSG|Xiaohai, G8S|Gachikun, BST|Daigo, TM|NoahTheProdigy, Mouz|EndingWalker, Reject|BigBird, KC|Kilzyou, RB|Bonchan, Mouz|Problem X, 2G|ZangiefBolado, Falcons|Kusanagi FR and Nyanpi, though there are still two spots left to fill as well.
There will be two different brackets played for the final two qualification spot. One is the Play-In, through which players from various regions have already qualified into a top 8 bracket which consists of Zeta|Higuchi, iDom, JG|ZJZ, Takamura, Illicit|Kusanagi MX, Senor Power, UB|Salvatore and ILL|MarkTheShark, one of which will be granted a spot in the main competition.
Besides this, there’s also the Last Chance Qualifier which is an open-entry event featuring over 250 participants, including names like 2G|Blaz, Aegis|Mister Crimson, Zeta|Hikaru, PHX|S4ltyKiD, Shakz, Akainu, Sayff, Lexx, Alphen, SYG|Garnet and of course many more besides.
As usual, for the main competition there will be a live bracket draw and the competitors will then face off in a single elimination competition with longer first-to-5 sets.
The overall prize pool is €50,000 ($53,954) so there’s a good chunk of change for whoever grabs the first spot in this prestigious competition.
Streaming is being done at Red Bull.
