The Eyo Ekpo Campaign office has drawn attention to the perceived shenanigans of her former Calabar South Chapter chairman, Mr Umo Antigha Etim popularly called Toby York.
The campaign office has informed that Mr Umo who spearheaded the scam endorsement of Gov Ben Ayade and is no longer a member of the party will be masquerading as an SDP agent, all in the attempt to hoodwink the unsuspecting public and government institutions. It has said that the public should deal with him in caution as he does not represent the official interests of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Cross River State.
Their statements reads thus, ‘Take note of this turncoat, Umo Antigha Etim a.k.a. Toby York. As is clear in the photograph, he is one of the people who carried out the SCAM endorsement of the PDP led State government.
‘Toby and his cohorts have gone on to INEC masquerading as SDP agents to collect party tags meant for bona-fide agents of the SDP.
‘We are aware of the plan to have these sellouts collect the agent tags of the SDP across the State and in the process, disenfranchise true SDP agents from carrying out their duties. All this in a bid to create chaos and subvert the electoral process.
‘We are hereby calling on INEC Nigeria and INEC in Cross River before the damage is done. We will certainly not sit idly by and watch this disastrous action steal the mandate of Cross Riverians.’
