We always knew there was a real Mokujin wandering around the world from Tekken’s various endings over the years, and it looks like his most recent sighting just happened in the Philippines.
A mega Mokujin fan walked onto the Cosplay Cup stage at Cosplay Mania 2022 in a perfect costume of the wooden fighter, and he wasn’t there to just stand around. He was there to fight.
With the iconic ‘Get Ready for the Next Battle’ screen blazing behind him, the Mokujin cosplayer suddenly strikes a boxing pose and starts throwing punches with Steve Fox in the background.
As a copycat character, he’s obviously going to mimic the moves of other Tekken fighters, and the cosplayer goes through some impressive choreography for Paul Phoenix, Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, King and we give him extra props for doing Eddy Gordo and Hwoarang too wearing all of that.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as though Mokujin would end up winning the Cosplay Cup, but he certainly would have had our vote.
We can’t confirm whether he’s truly the man behind the mask, but Kratos KongZilla is claiming they are the one who crafted this crazy Mokujin.
