A popular Adage avers that “If you can't beat them..You should join them”.
This to my mind has become the case of those on the academia, to wit, The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU who have as at press time, joined in the nation-wide strike organized by the Ayuba Wabba-led faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.
No doubt, this strike action is a reactionary campaign by a sect against the seemingly problematics that have bedeviled our Nation .
Such issues include amongst other things, the non payment of backlog salaries of civil servants and employees of Government, fuel scarcity, hike in transportation, and general recessions .
The foregoing is a justification cum a juxtaposition of the fact that there is no doubt a disagreement between the various factions of the union .
Negroidhaven gathered that the Union, is an affiliate of the NLC ( Nigerian Labour Congress) and as argued, they have to abide by the directives of the latter of which they allege represents their sister union.
