Ingratitude, like success, isn't a person but an attitude.
It has a logic which hinges on the perception that 'I deserve' to be treated/served with the best services inclined towards the primary benefit of my interest, from another being seeking to actualise its primary interest simultaneously.
In this conception, the ingrate doesn't consider the fact that it's a human that disposes to offer such services of goodwill.
By human, I mean to refer to another being who has aspirations/ambitions to actualise. To actualise its interest is its basic preoccupation.
That, this type of being choses to involve in initiatives which will not primarily further its ambitions, but the primary interest of another is worth an acknowledgement.
No human deserve such dispositions from another ambitious being. That, you're a recipient of another's goodwill should invoke gratitude!
Granted that no human can service its interest independently, it should be emphasised that human relationships, in view of advancing our aspirations should be a two-way traffic. Shun ingratuitous lifestyles!
