Raphael Varane has had a truly incredible career so far, playing for top-tier teams Real Madrid and Manchester United, lifting a whole host of silverware.

Veteran centre-back has been instrumental to any squad he’s been in, starting off at Lens in France before making a massive move to Madrid in 2011 for €11 million where he’d light up La Liga for a decade.

During his time in the Spanish capital, Varane wracked up an amazing 360 appearances across all competitions, grabbing 17 goals and 7 assists. The Frenchman was a vital member of Los Blancos, helping the team win La Liga three times, the Champions League four times, the FIFA Club World Cup four times, the UEFA Supercup three times, the Spanish Cup four times and the Spanish Super Cup three times, making a total of 21 trophies with Real Madrid.

As such a strong player at the back, United brought the 31-year-old to Old Trafford to help strengthen their defence, a move which added two more trophies into his cabinet in the form of the English League Cup and the FA Cup most recently.

Now at the end of his contract, Varane has left the Red Devils and is looking for his new club, with reports emerging that he’s begun talks with a top club in the MLS.

Ariel Senosiain has reported on X that Varane is currently in talks to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami on a free transfer.

If this move were to go ahead, it would see Varane linking up with massive names like Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.
