Promoting quality driving skills to foster industrialization

   The Cross River State Government has described quality driving skills as an index for industrialising the State.

The State Commissioner, Ministry of Transport and Marine Services, ,Mr.Oqua Edet Oqua stated this when he recieved in audience the Executive members of the Cross River State Driving Schools Association in his office in Calabar.

 Mr Oqua commended them for coming to partner with the State Government saying that Cross River State has upgraded from Civil Service  State to an Industrial hub and business nerve centre in Nigeria.

He further stated that it takes other developmental strides and partnerships with the State to deliver good services to the citizenry and advised  them to cooperate with the State Government in which ever way they may be requested to do so for effective and seamless transportation system with out compromising  safety or become nuisance to other road users.

The Commissioner pointed out that in the near future they would be training and retraining for all categories of drivers in the State and called on the Proprietors of Driving Schools to acquire driving arena, so they would not constitute nusaince to other road users as well as avoid accident,emphasizing that driving Schools would be re-certified to keep away quacks from the business.
