The final event of the Tekken World Tour 2024, Thaiger Uppercut 2024, leading up to the Tekken World Tour 2024 Global Finals concluded over the weekend. Though Heihachi was recently added to the Tekken 8 roster, he was not permitted to be played at TGU 2024.
Regardless, it would seem that professional player and coach ggE|Landon recently created a tier list for Tekken 8. It would seem that Landon already has a placement in mind for Heihachi on this tier list.
Ultimately, Heihachi ends up in the A tier category, which is where most of the characters reside on Landon’s tier list. Other fighters that can be found here include Lili, Xiaoyu, JACK-8, Leroy, Azucena, Jun, Kazuya, Lidia, and Steve. In total, 20 characters reside in A tier.
However, it’s the combatants located above the A tier group that truly stand out. Yoshimitsu, Dragunov, and Alisa are said to be the top 3 contenders in the game right now.
King, Kuma, Reina, Feng, Nina, Asuka, Jun, and a few others are also said to be very strong right now, though not quite as good as the aforementioned top 3. Needless to say, many of these fighters demonstrated that they were still relevant throughout TGU 2024.
However, it would seem that Devil Jin has fallen off significantly due to a series of nerfs. According to Landon, Devil Jin is now the worst character in Tekken 8.
