Meanwhile, Hikaru Shida got to be Ada Wong
The pro wrestling and fighting game communities have more overlap than many people probably realize, and that applies to the stars in the ring too.
Kenny Omega made a big show of his entrance this past weekend at AEW Collision by strutting out in basically a Manon cosplay from Street Fighter 6.
In his world match title against Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Omega came out to the stage wearing head to toe Manon’s second costume in SF6.
The dude had the sunglasses, the pink feathers on the shoulders, black jacket, sequined belt and pink boots looking ready to grapple.

On top of that, Kenny also struck Manon’s fashion pose not once but twice during the event.

He did have a bit of a costume mishap, however, getting into the ring with one of his wings / shoulder pads coming off, but he was about to throw them off anyway.

At the same event, Hikaru Shida also got to cosplay as Resident Evil’s Ada Wong.

Kenny Omega has a pretty long history repping Street Fighter at this point considering he got to officially portray Cody Travers for his Street Fighter 5 reveal as the new Mayor of Metro City.
It’s not the first time he’s dressed up as a Street Fighter character for an AEW show either, as he previously took to the ring as Akuma back at Fyter Fest 2019.
This is extra fitting, though, considering Manon is Omega’s main in SF6 that he used to take on former UFC champion Mighty Mouse a few weeks ago.
