Mortal Kombat pro player Tweedy has put together a brand new Mortal Kombat 1 tier list that analyzes the whole main-cast roster here roughly a few weeks after the game’s first DLC character has been introduced.
Tweedy shared a previous tier list shortly before Invincible’s Omni-Man dropped, and we now get to see an updated take on everyone after the latest balance changes, as well as how strong the DLC fighter is here in the current version of the game.
Like the previous list, Tweedy’s new MK1 tier list is broken down into five different categories. Unlike the last list, however, this time the letter grades range from S+ to A- instead of S to B, signifying that all of the characters are now thought of as a little stronger overall since the last time Tweedy created a tier list.
Tweedy also released a full YouTube video that runs through the explanations for why every placement was chosen. We have included it below, so be sure to also check it out.
Right out of the gate and going in alphabetical order, Tweedy places Ashrah in the S+ category. He explains that generally in NetherRealm Studios games, the most important aspect of combat is neutral, and Ashrah currently has the best neutral in Mortal Kombat 1 thanks to her sword normal attacks.
Other fighters placed in the best of the best ranking include Sindel, who has been seeing quite a bit more attention lately as one of the strongest characters in the game, Kenshi, and Johnny Cage, who has also been considered incredibly strong in Mortal Kombat 1.
How about Omni-Man, though? Well, the pro player puts the game’s first DLC character roughly in the middle of the A+ tier citing having too many gaps in his offense and the fact that players can armor through his attacks fairly easily as reasons for him being lower on the tier list.
Be sure to check out the full tier list below. Also, be warned that there is a little bit of NSFW language in Tweedy’s video.
