Manchester United are looking to enter a three-way race for a former Premier League winger lighting up Serie A.
The Red Devils are primarily looking to develop their existing squad on the back of their recent monumental spending.
Over the last 2 and a half years under Erik ten Hag, the club have spent £600 million on transfers, with an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup to show for it.
Now United are implementing a structure of cultivating the existing talent in the squad and youth academy.
As such, the transfer windows will be handled with a much more modest budget, only looking for players to support the existing squad or replace outgoing players.

However, fresh rumours out of Italy have highlighted one of the stars United may be focusing on to support the current squad.
Manchester United look to AC Milan star Christian Pulisic
New reports from Calciomercato have announced that United are considering a move for AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic.
The report has expressed that United are set to battle Liverpool and West Ham United for the USA international.
Pulisic came through the Borussia Dortmund academy, graduating to the senior team in 2016.
Whilst with the German giants, the American made 127 appearances with 19 goals and 26 assists.
His impressive run of form secured him a move to Chelsea for €64 million in January 2019, being loaned back to Dortmund until the summer.
At Chelsea, Pulisic made 145 appearances with 26 goals and 19 assists, winning the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Supercup.
However, in 2023 the winger moved to Milan for €20.8 million.
Now, a return to the Premier League could be on the cards thanks to his recent run of form.
With 22 goals and 16 assists in 65 games, Pulisic is performing incredibly.
As a result, it’s only natural that Milan doesn’t want to lose their star man.
The report explains that the Rossoneri are unlikely to sell Pulisic for anything under €60 million.
With United’s new system of squad development with a modest transfer budget, this price tag could well be out of their range if the rumours are true.
