After going dark for almost a year from the beta side, MultiVersus reached its full release state back in May though the game has continued to see some interesting issues pop up from time to time.
That latest of which impacted the Powerpuff Girls, who just launched alongside the Season 3 update for MVS yesterday.
Players quickly uncovered there was a way to allow the PPG to perform a fairly simple infinite touch of death combo using only one move.
The girls’ Somer-Assault dash attack could just simply combo into itself while holding up like four or five times to shove the opponent to the blast zone.
Normally, this wouldn’t be possible, but the Powerpuff Girls released with the Signature Perk Rainbow Dash that allowed the girls to do dash attacks in the air as instant air dashes.

Player First Games did also quickly remove the offending perk from the game and released the following statement:
“Hey MVPs, we are aware of an issue regarding the Rainbow Dash perk. We have temporarily disabled it, and will re-enable it in an upcoming hotfix.”
The last few times a busted character was discovered in MultiVersus, the fighter had to temporarily be removed from the roster until they were fixed, so at least that didn’t happen this time around, which wouldn’t have been good with the new content you just launched your season with.

Back in June, Iron Giant had to be taken back to the garage for a few days once players started abusing infinite throw loops and combos with one person losing his character in the middle of a tournament.
The following month, Jason Voorhees had a match-breaking handcuffs glitch discovered as well that made the developers pull him from the lineup for just under three days.
We’re also seeing some players complain that Superman’s heat vision special can pass right through the PPG. It’ll still set them on fire, but it won’t hit them with the launcher effect.
This appears to be because the girls are technically hovering just above the ground in their idle / running state, so they aren’t considered fully grounded it seems unless they’re crouching.
Considering the heat vision interacts the same way against Superman himself if he’s floating in his idle animation, this may just be more so a quirk of their design rather than an actual glitch.
There’s another issue, causing the Powerpuff Girls to be invulnerable to Superman’s down special (lasers). Because they float off the ground and the hit box doesn’t touch the ground only Superman loses his projectile ability. pic.twitter.com/5PxZ5IxrW3

That could also give the girls a slight advantage that only hits or hits harder against moves that work on grounded opponents.
Going by their previous updates, Rainbow Dash will likely be back in MVS within the next few days with a fix that shouldn’t be too hard to implement since they basically just need to remove the ability to use the dash attack multiple times in a row.
