It is popularly said that ” Evil will prevail when Good men do nothing” . To my mind, it is upon the above premise that we have refused to follow the dangerous trend of those who have refused to say or do nothing even when they truly have something to say . Thanks to the heavens because my training affords me the opportunity not just to say or do something but to say and do it rightly without adulteration.
In my opinion, it is this quest for truth and patriotic reaction to error in polity that has led Folorunso Oladipupo to speak up by questioning the ” rationality behind the irrational ” actions of the supposed Government of Oyo state. Who to my mind is abusing the power she is bestowed with, right in the corridors of power!

In an open letter to Mr President and to all the good people as well as the APC partisans, Oladipupo has this to say. We have however, meticulously extracted his exact words as published in the Nigerian world News. Therefore, Due to the relevance of the content, contextual arguments and language detail, we decided to present it raw and exact having certified that it is devoid of favouritism. We reserve all rights and reserve to the publishers who gave us the go to reproduce and publish this in their stead. We are eternally grateful.

Below is an excerpt from His letter whose title is breathtaking and a bomb!.
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BUHARI AND APC NATIONAL LEADERS:
BEFORE THE BUBBLE BURSTS IN OYO STATE.
Today is exactly six months since the swearing in of our President and the governors across the states. Expectedly, government activities are expected to be at the peak by now. At the minimum, a reasonable and responsible elected officer should have formed his cabinet and announced the policy direction of his administration.
It is permissible and acceptable for a newly elected person to take two to three months to announce his cabinet just like President Muhamadu Buhari did but a returning or re- elected governor like Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state is expected to hit the ground running. However, this is not the situation in the pacesetter state.
It will not be interesting for any person to know that six months after swearing in, the governor of Oyo State has not made a single appointment. There is no secretary to state government, no chief of staff to the governor, no commissioner, no special assistant, no special adviser and worse of all the local government was incapacitated by non conduct of local government election for four years and his refusal to appoint any caretaker chairman.
The implication of this is that only the governor (who is junketing the world) is the only person running the state government and the 33 councils in the last six months. It is very important to bring this to your notice and plead for your intervention before the governor destroys the APC in the state with his pride, arrogance, selfishness and greed.
When i read the publication of Sahara reporters which indicated that President Buhari has spent more than 40 days out of the country since May, 29, I laughed. Within May 29 2015 and now, Governor Ajimobi has spent more than 100 days out of Nigeria on flimsy and unnecessary trips like going for a daughter’s introduction in London, going to Lebanon for a daughter’s wedding, going to USA to visit his son and again to London for the naming of his grandchild. I should not forget at least three trips to Dubai to rest.
Governor Ajimobi’s penchant for international travelling is killing the state. Yet it cannot be compared with President Buhari’s trip which has been defended by Femi Adesina to be on Security issues, bilateral agreements, and international conferences, recovery of stolen fund, climate change and search for direct foreign investment.
The state has existed without government for 6 months which is 12.5% of the 4 years tenure of this administration. This has created deaths, hardships, pains and life time sorrow to many people in the state. This is not the CHANGE we voted for. We want positive changes which are happening in other states and the federation. Our appeal to you is to please talk to the governor to constitute his cabinet and conduct election into our local governments IMMEDIATELY. He needs to be advised to reciprocate the goodness of the people who made him the first governor to be re-elected in Oyo state with goodness not the opposite.
None of the governor of the demonised and castigated PDP ever ruled a state as a sole administrator. In Oyo state, the ousted PDP did not allow unelected and or civil servants to rule local government for a single day. It is pathetic that a supposedly progressive government is allowing those without the people’s mandate or legitimacy to borrow the so called “bailout” and manage it on behalf of the people. Yet, the people who have no knowledge about it will be made to pay the debt for over 30 years. This is the peak of financial crime, official recklessness, wickedness and maladministration.
Intervention from outside the state is required to save the state and the APC from avoidable problems and self inflict destruction. Governor Ajimobi has said it many times that he is all in all and above all party leaders in the state. In view of this, he has remained defiant and incommunicado with other stakeholders. He has repeatedly stated that he does not care about the party again because he is no more interested in any post having served as a Senator and having been elected as governor twice.
The governor’s refusal to listen to or to consult with other stakeholders has put the members of Oyo state house of assembly on an unenviable and dangerous task to find a way to rescue the state from his precarious grip. For over two weeks now, members of the parliament have refused to hold their plenary in protest of the governor’s maladministration. If there is no intervention from the President and other national leaders of APC, the bubble may soon burst in Oyo state.
