Finally, the people of Calabar will lay their head as the Cross River State Police headquarters in Calabar has paraded over 46 persons over cultism, armed robbery, kidnapping, murder and more which saw over 20 persons killed within a few weeks.
Speaking to newsmen, Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, the new Commissioner of Police in charge of Cross River State Command, said the suspects were arrested between 2 May – 14 June, 2016. He also added that all the suspects would be charged to court soon.

The Commissioner said most of the suspected cultists, including Felix Okon Etim, a member of Vikings confraternity, had confessed saying he was initiated group in October, 2015. Mr. Jimoh says two of the murdered suspects in the persons of Effanga Offiong and John Edet, were found in possession of dangerous weapons after they were taken to the Atakpa Divisional Police Officer.
