August 21, 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – Within steps of the iconic Jane’s carousel, on Wednesday police returned to Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood, where human remains were again found on the rocky shoreline of a waterfront park.
According to police, at around 12:30 a.m., a second discovery of possible human bones was located on the rocks at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The new discovery comes just days after a skull and bones were found along the shoreline of the East River by a Parks Enforcement Officer on patrol at a nearby waterfront area, authorities said.
The suspected human remains found at both locations are believed to be linked together but hasn’t been confirmed by police officials.

There are few details surrounding the suspicious discoveries at both Brooklyn waterfront parks.
It’s not known at this time if the bones found are washing up on the shoreline or if they are being placed there by someone.

The NYPD along with the medical examiner’s office are currently investigating the incident.
