The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, Luka James, for abducting and r3ping a 15-year-old girl to coma in Michika Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, February 2, 2025 said James, of Gwalantabal village in Song Local Government Area, was arrested following a report made to the police by one Yohanna Begie, a resident of Nkafa village.
“According to the report, on 31st January, 2025, the victim was on her way to school when the suspect conspired with one Emmanuel, who is currently on the run, abducted her into a nearby bush and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her,” the statement read.
“The victim was found unconscious at the scene and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Damkombo Morris, PSC(+), expressed worry over the ugly incident and directed the Deputy commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over the investigation and ensure justice.
“The CP advised members of the public, especially parents, to develop a habit of close monitoring of their wards and provide timely information to the police.”
