Alleged sponsor of purported Awka nude women protesters against the police in Anambra State, Jeff Nweke, has been arrested.
The Anambra Police Commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
He said Nweke was arrested in Abuja on Monday.
Nweke, owner of private security (Blue Shield) had serially been accused of land grabbing and sundry offences, including using armed Blue Shield security operatives to intimidate residents.

He was also accused of sponsoring protest involving nude women purportedly from Awka demanding the redeployment of Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Akin Fakorede and one Inspector Monday Umana.
It was gathered that Nweke was trailed to Abuja and arrested therein.
Before Nweke’s arrest, CP Adeoye had said he (Nweke) was charged to the Federal High and the State High Courts in Awka but he refused to appear, leading to the issuance of a bench warrant against him.
This came as villagers from Enugwu-Agidi in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state cried out to the police to come to their rescue against an alleged use of militia and thugs by Nweke to harass, intimidate and forcefully grab their land.
