The much-awaited POCO F7 series is generating buzz with leaks revealing key specifications ahead of its launch. The lineup is expected to include three models: the POCO F7, POCO F7 Pro, and POCO F7 Ultra. Reports suggest these could be rebranded versions of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Redmi K80, and Redmi K80 Pro, respectively.
Processor
The POCO F7 is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, which was tipped by popular Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS). According to DCS, the chipset is a slightly underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Performance-wise, it is expected to surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 while being slightly less powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Mobile phones with the Snapdragon 8s Elite are expected to hit the market in April 2025, and the POCO F7 could be among the first devices to showcase this hardware.
Battery and display features
One of the standout features of the POCO F7 is its massive 7,000mAh battery, which supports 90W fast charging. This makes it ideal for users seeking a long-lasting device. Additionally, the phone is rumoured to sport a 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display. It also offers a balance between resolution, power efficiency, and vibrant visuals. Sanju Choudhary, an X user who shared further insights about the device, corroborated these specifications.
Launch timeline and certification
The POCO F7 has already received BIS certification in India, suggesting its release in the country is imminent. The handset, bearing the model number 2412DPC0AI, was also spotted in GSMA and IMDA listings, confirming support for 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC connectivity. With the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset scheduled to debut in April 2025, the POCO F7 may launch around the same time. Meanwhile, it’s Pro and Ultra variants could arrive earlier.
Price expectations
The POCO F6, launched in May 2024 in India, had a starting price of Rs 29,999. The upcoming POCO F7 series might follow a similar pricing strategy, delivering powerful specs at an accessible price point. As the leaks keep coming, excitement for the POCO F7 series continues to grow. Its debut is shaping up to be a major highlight in 2025’s tech calendar, at least for POCO fans.
