Avenging a loss in the first match-up, the Pleasant Valley boys basketball team jumped out to an 18-2 lead in first quarter Friday against Enterprise en route to 68-49 victory at Varley Gym in Chico.
The Hornets won 55-48 Jan. 11 on their home court.
Cam Bussey led PV with 21 points, Jacob Martin had 10 points, Gavin Garretson led the Vikings with 13 rebounds, and Keith Thompson had 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Isiah Fortune, Anthony Sanchez and Malakai Piper tied for the team-high in assists with four each.
PV (18-7, 7-1 Eastern Athletic League) plays next at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at home against Shasta. The Vikings will finish their regular-season schedule at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Chico High.
Chico 51, Red Bluff 49: Chico overcame a 29-24 first half deficit, and finished the comeback by outscoring Red Bluff 17-10 in the fourth quarter, en route to a win in Red Bluff.
Adam Brott led the Panthers with 14 points, Rakim Young-Thomas had 13 and Magnus Nielsen had 11.
Chico (15-10, 4-4 EAL) plays next at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Foothill.
Gridley 84, Oroville 51: All nine Gridley players scored in the Bulldogs’ home victory.
Gridley (18-6, 6-1 Butte View league) finishes its regular season at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at home against Las Plumas. If Las Plumas (17-9, 5-1 BVL) beats Corning (11-12, 3-3 BVL) Tuesday, the season finale for both teams will decide the BVL winner.
Las Plumas 53, Orland 52: Las Plumas outscored Orland 11-8 in the fourth quarter en route to a win in Oroville.
The Thunderbirds and Trojans were tied 15-15 after the first quarter, LP led 26-22 at halftime, and Orland led 44-42 after three quarters, before LP took the lead in the fourth.
No stats were reported by either team.
Las Plumas plays next at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Corning. Orland (15-10, 2-4 BVL) plays next at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at home against Oroville.
Hamilton 54, Williams 53: Hamilton led 29-25 en route to a home win.
Kayden Strong led the Braves with 27 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Case Porter had 11 points and six rebounds, and Caden Stickney had eight points, nine rebounds and a team-high seven assists.
Hamilton (6-12, 3-5 Mid-Valley League) plays next at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Los Molinos.

Hamilton 82, Williams 21: Hannah Bonesio led Hamilton with 24 points in the Braves’ home win.
Sheri Enneking had 14 points and Ally Odom had 11.

Paradise’s Kira Imrie had one goal and one assist, Tyler McKay and Sam Rist had one goal each, and Anahi Ixta and Ruby Wyse had one assist each.
