Before the first month of 2024 completely closes out, it appears we’re about to get quite a few new video game announcements and reveals.
PlayStation is set to hold their first State of Play broadcast of the year today, January 31, starting at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET.
According to Sony, the showcase will be over 40 minutes in length with 15+ games featured for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 that’ll release in 2024 and beyond.
The only two games they’ve confirmed that’ll be present are Stellar Blade from Shift Up / Sony and Rise of the Ronin from Team Ninja, but there’s been rumors and leaks we may see more from the Silent Hill 2 remake as well.
Previous State of Play shows have featured a fairly common amount of fighting game reveals and trailers for titles like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and The King of Fighters 15 though nothing is confirmed for today’s broadcast.
There is a small chance we could see something like Ed’s gameplay for SF6 or a trailer for a different game like Mortal Kombat 1, but we’re not going to bet the house on that.
You can watch the new State of Play stream when it goes live here or on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch pages.
