Player brings his oversized arcade stick... table to Texas Showdown 2025

Texas Showdown 2025 has proven to be an exciting spectacle for fighting game fans. One of the competitors at that event actually brought their dog, a Shiba Inu, which caught everyone’s attention as it almost seemed like the dog was acting as the player’s coach as he played his matches.

However, that wasn’t the only scene that caused those present to do a doubletake upon seeing it unfold. Within the fighting game community, there’s been a bit of a tradition among some of the players in which they try to compete with some of the most absurd controllers that we’ve ever seen.

Although the main games present at Texas Showdown 2025 were Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and Mortal Kombat 1, there were plenty of other games that featured tournaments in which players could compete in. One of the players competing at the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 tournament being held there was Ranma, who was actually the tournament organizer for the entire event.

Needless to say, Ranma’s arcade stick ended up drawing quite a bit of attention. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to call it an “arcade stick table.”

From the displayed picture, it’s clear that this device is absolutely massive. It’s probably large enough for four people to use it as a table.

According to Ranma, the arcade stick base top actually separates from the base and is able to fit into his hatchback in order to make it… slightly easier to transport.
