A daring pirate attack occurred on April 4, 2025, on the Port Harcourt-Bille waterways in Rivers State.
A boat carrying six people was intercepted by pirates while sailing from Bille to Port Harcourt.
Five of the passengers were taken hostage, while an elderly woman was freed due to her ill health and age.
