Job Summary

The position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience within Short Term insurance looking to join an established broking team within an market leading insurance broker.

This is a full time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

We will rely on you to:

  • Provide Broking Services.
  • Attend strategy meetings and/or renewal meetings.
  • Preparation / Finalisation of Broking documentation.
  • Identification and selection of appropriate markets.
  • Distribution of Broking Notes to the market.
  • Negotiating with Markets for best deals.
  • Implementation of placement strategy on high complexity accounts.
  • Collation of market terms and quotes for submission to client services.
  • Preparation / Finalisation of Placing Slips.
  • Closings to markets / obtaining market confirmation of cover.
  • Confirm final placement / changes and Endorsements.
  • Work with the Operations team to issue accurate policy schedules.
  • Preparation of other broking documentation as required.

What you need to have: 

  • Demonstrable experience in short term insurance and/or commercial and/or corporate insurance broking.
  • FAIS and CPD compliant
  • Knowledge of the principles of risk management
  • Certificate in Insurance or commenced studying towards AIISA an advantage
  • Insurer relationships an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Conversant with insurance legislation
  • Excellent communications skills – English and local language verbal and written.
