Position Summary:
The Performance Theatre Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of events and operations in the school's Arena. This includes managing equipment, creating and implementing administrative processes, ensuring the successful execution of events, and maintaining the overall quality and reputation of the theatre.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor staff and pupils,including technical crew, and performers.
Develop and maintain operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Arena.
Coordinate and oversee all production activities, including rehearsals and executing performances
Collaborate with the three principals to plan and execute productions.
Manage the Arena's rental process to external companies/individuals.
Ensure the safety and well-being of performers, staff, and audience members by enforcing safety protocols and regulations
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the theatre's facilities, equipment, and technical resources
Represent the theatre in the community and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and partners
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, Arts Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in theatre management, production coordination, or related roles
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in using theatre management software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant tools
Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to theatre management
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
