KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- “SAP super key user”, dealing directly with Level 1 and being their first point of contact from the factory, the main interface between key users and level 1.
- Provide support, training and coaching when and where needed to all manufacturing SAP key users
- Filtering issues rising from the shopfloor related to SAP and addressing them directly when those issues don’t require a system intervention or a process redesign, but are related to poor/missing execution.
- Supervising in particular the COGI transaction to make sure the factory is always up to speed and in line with production orders.
- Ensure alignment between factory report (stock declared) and IDL (stock received).
- Target: maximize manufacturing efficiency, reduce all types of losses (SQCDMN) develop capacity, involvement and contribution of all Danoners on plant level.
- Manage departmental budget of 1 -2% of total plant budget for staff.
- Participate to the development of the site Master plan for the implementation of methods, tools, systems (in particular Damaway Basics, & advanced tools) and related activities to defined plant objectives.
- Participate to the definition and conduct improvement projects (improve work flow. Increase availability/capacity, reduce losses)
- Support/coach line/departmental resources on daily basis and middle term (action plans).
- Network with local/regional/worldwide internal/external partners to identify and transfer best practices in and out.
- Actively support work safety & quality/food safety initiatives.
- Achieve the Damaway House target to deliver superior results by building on powerful teams and using three pillars. The three pillars are Performance Management, Organisational Efficiency and Proximity Leadership.
- Introducing/maintaining the short interval system (SIM)
- Encourage FLMs & operators to take part
- Introduce, maintain and improve standards for zoning, SQDCMN management, problem solving groups (PSG), focused improvement (FI)
- Co-ordinate activities between pillars
- Support pillar leaders at integrating standards, exchange of best practices, training and communication.
- Introduce, maintain & improve the use of PSG’s. 5 whys, SMETD, VSM, CUTE, SIX sigma
- Provide expertise and training inside plant.
- Participate in the development of standards in pilot area (LAB).
- Roll out proven standards to the whole plant (LAND).
- Support the E&T pillar to ensure a site wide kills matrix and gap analysis is developed and maintained; set up a training catalogue.
- Collaborate with pillar teams and HR to develop a training plan to close gaps.
- Identify best practices in plant and within regional/WWBU-networks (inside and outside Danone) and transfer in and out.
- Benchmark with network regarding important KPS’s and identify roadmap to utilize learnings.
- Use CODE/Danone Leadership College to develop oneself and others.
- Lead by example; impacting all employee’s you work with on a daily basis.
- Support the understanding, commitment and contribution of everyone to the factory KPIs.
- Translate factory targets into shopfloor language and deploy targets into key action indicators (KAI) per line that can be managed by operators.
- Being a benchmark in simple, visual, and effective communication.
Food Safety and Quality
- Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Quality principles as included in the policies, procedures, product specifications and processes. This also includes general Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene practices.
- Identify and report any potential Food Safety & Quality and GMP deviations and hazards.
LEVEL OF COMPETENCE REQUIRED
- Experience in Lean, TPM, SMED, HOSHKIN, Six Sigma
ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS
WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 5-year shop floor experience in processing/manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Strong skills in project management
- Extensive management experience in the food industry
