December 18, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – A pedestrian was walking in the Village when they were struck by the driver of a vehicle reportedly fleeing from police on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the scene where the struck pedestrian was located with serious injuries to the leg and body.
Incident was reported just after 3:00 p.m., near Mercer St & W 3rd Street, in the Village neighborhood of Manhattan.
No arrests, police are searching for the driver of a black Ford Fusion that was located abandoned on Prince street between Thompson and Broadway.
Unknown at this time why the fleeting driver was evading police. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
