The question of what is happening next with Paul Pogba is still up in the air.
Pogba has had a quiet torturous few years.
In his last season at Manchester United, the entire footballing world had come to an agreement that it was time for the France midfielder to move on from Old Trafford.
Making the move back to Juventus was meant to be the fresh restart that the FIFA World Cup winner needed.
But that hasn’t turned out much better.
After a lacklustre time in Turin, Pogba failed a drugs test.
Even though Pogba’s appeal was successful, he terminated his Juventus contract and is now looking for his next destination.
Shockingly, it seemed that the former Manchester United midfielder may be making the move to arch-rivals Manchester City.
However, a former English Premier League star has urged the midfielder to make a move to his native France instead.

Former West Ham United attacker Dimitri Payet has urged Paul Pogba to join Marseille as the midfielder nears the end of his 18-month doping ban.
Pogba will be eligible to return in March 2025 after his successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Speaking to BeIN Sport France, Payet said: “Like all Marseille supporters, of course, it’s a dream [for Pogba to join the club].”
Payet, who was a shining light for The Hammers, is somewhat of a club icon at Marseille having spent 8 years or so at the club.
Of course, a former United teammate is also at Marseille.
Mason Greenwood, who also left Manchester United in controversial fashion, is now a certified starter for the team as they look to challenge PSG for the Ligue 1 title.
The former Manchester United star, who made over 200 appearances and won the Europa League and League Cup, started his career in France where he last played for Le Havre before moving to Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba is determined to play at the highest level again, with his current preferences believed to be the Bundesliga, Serie A, and La Liga.
Pogba has yet to make any public statement on his future plans, though there is reported interest from MLS clubs and Saudi Pro League sides.
It remains to be seen if he opts to play in his homeland and lines up for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
