This summer saw Manchester United successfully offload winger Jadon Sancho.
It always looked likely that Sancho would be moving away from Old Trafford this summer after being exiled to Borussia Dortmund on loan back in January.
The England international was one of seven players that Dan Ashworth and Sir Jim Ratcliffe wanted to sell on to generate more transfer funds.
Despite a lot of interest across Europe, Sancho’s departure from Manchester went right until Deadline Day, with Chelsea and The Red Devils agreeing to a loan deal with obligation to buy.
Since moving to Stamford Bridge, Sancho has started life as a Blue well with two assists in two games. As a childhood fan of Chelsea, the winger is already making his presence on the pitch known.
Now, his former teammate Paul Pogba has highlighted he’s impressed with Sancho’s performances in a Chelsea shirt.
The pair were briefly team-mates at for United after Sancho joined from Dortmund for the 2021-22 season together under Ole Gunner Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
Taking to Instagram, Sancho shared a set of photos from Saturday’s 3-0 win over West Ham United at the London Stadium. Among them was one of his celebrations with Nicolas Jackson after setting up the striker for their opening goal.
The winger captioned the photos: “Solid performance from the boys, have a great weekend blues,” with his former teammate taking to comment on the post.
Pogba’s response was a simple one, with the Frenchman simply replying: “Him”.
This repose goes to show his admiration of Sancho and his performances, with Sancho looking like he’s finding his form once more.
