Paladin and EndingWalker face off in a Ryu mirror exhibition in Street Fighter 6 then construct a match up chart

At this point, Paladin and M80|EndingWalker could be considered to be among the strongest Ryu users of Street Fighter 6. Though EndingWalker is the only Ryu player that’s qualified for Capcom Cup X thanks to his victory at the Capcom Pro Tour World Warrior event for United Kingdom & Ireland, Paladin had a respectable fourth place finish at the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 US/Canada East event where he beat XSET|iDom and eliminated FLY|Punk.

A few days ago, EndingWalker streamed himself going up against Paladin in a series of matches in Street Fighter 6. As expected, both players primarily used Ryu throughout the exhibition, though EndingWalker would also pull out Zangief and Luke towards the end of it all.

One might think that EndingWalker would have the advantage here due to him being qualified for Capcom Cup X, which is a reasonable assertion. However, it should be noted that Paladin’s Master Rating of 2,132 is higher than that of EndingWalker’s 2,010.

Part way through the stream, the two decide to work together to construct a Ryu match up chart. According to them, Ryu has very good advantages against Jamie, Kimberly, E. Honda, and Juri.

Of all the characters in Street Fighter 6, it’s said that Ryu’s worst match ups are against Dhalsim, Chun-Li, and Guile. He’s said to have even matches against JP, Zangief, and Lily.
