At least four people were hospitalized following the shooting near the Student Union on the Florida State University (FSU) campus in Tallahassee, according to NBC News.

The FBI has responded to the scene, and a spokesperson for the Tallahassee Police Department confirmed to Tallahassee that the suspect is in custody.

At 12:30 p.m. EDT, the university issued an emergency alert, urging all students, faculty, and staff to shelter in place.

“Dangerous Situation: An active shooter has been reported in the area of Student Union. Police are on scene or on the way. Continue to seek shelter and await further instructions. • BREAKING: Court Orders Fast-Tracked Trial Of 15 Domestic Workers Held In Prison For 6 Years Over Patience Jonathan’s Missing Jewellery

The Bayelsa State High Court has ordered a fast-tracked trial for 15 domestic workers who have spent nearly six years in detention at the Okaka Correctional Centre, Yenagoa, without conviction, over missing jewellery belonging to former First Lady Patience Jonathan.

SaharaReporters gathered that the order came after the prosecution and defence teams reached a rare consensus during Thursday’s proceedings to fast-track the case, which has suffered deliberate and serial delays allegedly masterminded by Patience Jonathan’s private legal team.

“The court proceeded well today, and both parties have agreed to finish the case as soon as possible, with an accelerated hearing. So victory is coming,” a source close to the defence told SaharaReporters.

The 15 accused persons, most of whom were part of Mrs Jonathan’s domestic staff, were arrested in 2019 and have remained in detention without bail, with the case dragging on endlessly for years amid reports of consistent manipulation of court processes.

A previous report by SaharaReporters exposed a pattern of intentional court delays reportedly orchestrated by Mrs Jonathan’s private prosecutors, Ige Asemudara and Samuel Chinedu Maduba, both of whom have been consistently representing the former First Lady since 2019.

“The prosecutors are Ige Asemudara and Samuel Chinedu Maduba,” one of the sources confirmed.

“One of them comes from Lagos while the second travels in from Port Harcourt. They’ve been handling this case from day one, presenting witnesses who come to tell lies. One witness took almost two years,” a source earlier told SaharaReporters.

Sources alleged that Mrs Jonathan gave direct instructions to delay the proceedings.

“The aim is to frustrate the process and keep these innocent people in prison as long as possible. It’s an abuse of the legal system,” a source close to the courtroom told SaharaReporters.

The delay tactics reportedly included health excuses, unreachable witnesses, and repeated adjournments based on flimsy reasons. “Sometimes, Ige Asemudara would claim he is sick or his witness has work. Other times, he just asks for long adjournments,” said another insider.

Shockingly, the judiciary itself was not spared from complicity allegations. A source revealed that the presiding judge initially delayed hearing the bail applications, claiming she wanted to listen to some of the prosecution’s evidence first to determine the nature of the charges.

“When the case started in 2019, they all applied for bail,” the source said. “But the judge told their lawyers to wait so she could hear some evidence. After that, she shockingly denied bail, saying the offences were capital and therefore not bailable.”

Meanwhile, the Bayelsa State High Court has denied any involvement in the delays, recently restating its commitment to speedy justice and dismissing reports of suspects’ trials being delayed.

The court, in a reaction to reports that alleged that the trial of 15 domestic workers facing trial for burglary and theft of jewellery, was being delayed, said the claim was false.

It claimed that, according to available records, the matter had suffered delays due to multiple defence lawyers who must cross-examine witnesses, which had slowed down proceedings. It added that the case had also suffered several adjournments at the instance of counsel.

The delays have left the defence team and families of the detainees stunned, particularly since the prosecution reportedly failed to produce any convincing evidence to support the capital charges.

The affected persons are Williams Alami, Vincent Olabiyi, Ebuka Cosmos, John Dashe, Tamunokuro Abaku, Sahabi Lima, Emmanuel Aginwa, Erema Deborah, Precious Kingsley, Tamunosiki Achese, Salomi Wareboka, Sunday Reginald, Boma Oba, Vivian Golden and Emeka Benson.

They have remained behind bars without justice, caught in the web of power, influence, and a compromised legal process.

With the court finally conceding to an accelerated hearing, hope has once again sparked for the victims of this legal nightmare.

  • How to Get Charcoal in RuneScape DragonWilds

Charcoal is an essential item in RuneScape DragonWilds and is required to craft a Furnace. After that, Charcoal becomes the most valuable fuel in the game, allowing players to melt ores and cook high-tier items. Crafting Charcoal is extremely easy, as you only need to process wood. However, to unlock the Charcoal recipe, you need to find other materials and make other buildings. If you are also struggling to craft Charcoal, simply follow our complete guide on how to get Charcoal in RuneScape DragonWilds.

Charcoal is a mid-to-end game fuel in RuneScape DragonWilds, and it is used to craft the Furnace. Crafting Charcoal is fairly easy, as long as you have a Kiln and some wood. Below, I have given a step-by-step explanation on how to build a Kiln and craft Charcoal using it.

    1. Collect Clay

The first thing you need to do is collect Clay. This is one of the required materials for building a Kiln, which is used to craft Charcoal. Head to Whispering Swamps, located North of Bramblemead Valley. Clay can only be found in Whispering Swamps, so don’t look for it elsewhere. After reaching the Whispering Swamp, look for Clay Nodes.

Once you find a Clay Node, use your Pickaxe to mine for Clay. You can also use Dragonwilds spells like ‘Rocksplosion’ to mine fast or ‘Detect Clay + Ore’ to find Clay Nodes easily. Both of these spells are the Dragonwilds skills in the Mining tree.

    2. Build Kiln

After you have collected Clay from the Whispering Swamps, you will need to build a Kiln. Here are the materials required to build a Kiln in RuneScape DragonWilds:

    • 8 Ash logs
    • 20 Stones
    • 6 Clay
    • 10 Fire Rune

Ash Logs and Stones can be easily found in trees and rocks. For Fire Rune, use the Rune Altar to craft them with Rune Essences. Once you have all the items, open the Build menu using the ‘B‘ key and select Kiln in the Processing section of the Crafting tab. Now, build the Kiln outside in an open area. The Kiln must be exposed, otherwise it won’t work.

    3. Craft Charcoal

After you have built a Kiln, you can start crafting Charcoal in the Kiln. To craft Charcoal, you can process the following materials in the Kiln:

    • Ash log (1:1)
    • Ash Plank (1:1)
    • Oak Log (1:1)
    • Oak Plank (1:1)

As one Ash or Oak log can be split into two Planks, you can get a lot more Charcoal by converting your logs to planks first and then using them to craft Charcoal. After crafting Charcoal, you can use it as a new fuel for cooking and in the furnace. Charcoal is also required to build a Furnace in RuneScape DragonWilds.

So, that’s it. Now you know how to make Charcoal in RuneScape DragonWilds. Start crafting stronger gear once you have built the Furnace with Charcoal and completed all the quests in Ashenfall. Tell us how much you are enjoying RuneScape DragonWilds so far in the comments.

  • Falana urges Tinubu to sack Rivers sole administrator for violating presidential directive

Prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately remove Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (rtd.) as Sole Administrator of Rivers State, accusing him of flouting presidential orders.

Falana’s demand follows alleged violations of the Official Gazette dated March 18, 2025, which established the State of Emergency in Rivers State. The senior advocate argued that Ibas has overstepped his mandate by making unilateral decisions without presidential regulations.

“It is common knowledge that President Bola Tinubu has not issued any Regulation for the operation of the Sole Administrator,” Falana stated on Thursday. “But, the Sole Administrator has made appointments and removed officials appointed by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.”

The legal luminary emphasized that Ibas’ actions constitute contempt of presidential authority: “By treating the orders of President Bola Tinubu with contempt, the Sole Administrator has compounded the illegality of his appointment. The Sole Administrator ought to be removed without any further delay.”

President Tinubu had appointed the retired naval chief on March 18, 2025, following his declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State. The move saw the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu, and state assembly members, citing Section 305 of the 1999 Constitution.

The development comes as the Ad-Hoc Committee of the House of Representatives on Rivers State summoned Ibas for a “comprehensive interactive session” in Abuja, indicating growing scrutiny of his administration.

Ibas, who served as Chief of Naval Staff from 2015 to 2021, hails from Cross River State where he received his early education. His current role in Rivers State has now become a subject of national controversy, with legal experts questioning the constitutional basis of his recent administrative decisions.

The presidency is yet to respond to Falana’s demands as tensions continue to simmer in the oil-rich state. Political observers suggest the unfolding situation may test the limits of emergency powers under Nigeria’s constitutional democracy.

  • Anambra Govt Defends Innoson Head Office Demolition

The Anambra Commissioner for Works, Mr Ifeanyi Okoma, says the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), Head Office in Nnewi-Owerri Road was among the buildings marked for demolition for road construction in the state.

The commissioner made the disclosure on Thursday in Onitsha while reacting to complaints by the company over the demolition.

Okoma explained that all the affected buildings were marked and the people were informed.

“These buildings were marked sometime in December or January, we are not looking at individuals; it is something that cuts across the whole place and it is not personalised.

“Even the Catholic Church and every other building that is along the road were not going to be exonerated. These roads were designed to decongest traffic gridlock experienced during festival periods,” he said.

According to him, Soludo is the only governor nationwide that uses made in Nigeria vehicles. Chief Innoson is our man, anybody trying to create a wrong narrative about the demolition exercise does not mean well.

Meanwhile, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) has expressed displeasure over the partial demolition of its Head Office, situated on the Owerri-Nnewi road.

Mr Cornel Osigwe, Head of Corporate Communications at Innoson Group, who confirmed the demolition, said that there was no pre-notification ahead of the demolition which took place on Wednesday.

He claimed that the office perimeter fence, some offices, staircase and the company’s showroom were affected by the partial demolition.

According to him, there was no pre-notification ahead of the demolition; it came to us as a surprise.

“We did not know that the building itself was marked for demolition and if it was marked, they should have given us time to relocate.

“The staff were working and they just saw the demolition vehicle demolishing the building while work was going on.

“Some of our staff were trapped in the building, it took the efforts of our other staff to rescue those that were trapped while over 20 vehicles were also trapped.

“A day before the demolition, there was an announcement that there was going to be a demolition and they were going to give one week for the houses that were marked for demolition to relocate.

“The company was not aware that the company was marked for demolition, and even if it was aware.

“There have been a public announcement that all the marked buildings have one week to relocate, but all those things were not considered.

“There were other buildings that were close to the head office and marked for demolition were not demolished but they came straight to our building and demolished it, making us to wonder if there was another ulterior motive to it,” he said.

When asked if the demolition could be as a result of political witch-hunt, the company’s image maker said he did not think the state government would intentionally decide to demolish the company.

“Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra has been a great supporter of Innoson Vehicle and Innoson has been a great supporter of the state government.

“But the way and manner that everything happened makes us to wonder if the state government is aware that those handling the demolition have personal vendetta against the company,” he added.
