The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected land grabbers who allegedly made an attempt to attack homeowners at Wood Island Estate in the Ishawo area of Ikorodu in Lagos State.
About 100 houses were demolished after the suspected land grabbers invaded the estate last year, Punch reports.
The thugs allegedly made another attempt on Thursday, April 17, but they faced resistance from property owners in the estate.
A police source told the publication that this led to their arrest, with arms recovered.
“Angry house owners and other people have mobilised themselves to prevent another takeover of the area by land speculators, who demolished more than 100 houses.
“One of them identified as Rasak Segun was arrested with a white pistol while trying to escape through a neighbouring estate by vigilante members. He was taken to Owutu Police Station,” the source narrated.
The police source further disclosed that the suspect confessed to members of the Isawo community that he was mobilised from Ajah.
Another person was also said to have been arrested in the community with three pump-action guns, which were concealed in a Toyota Corolla car.
“The driver and some other people were in the car. Sensing danger, the other occupants fled the scene, but the driver was arrested and handed over to the police.
“The vehicle was thoroughly searched and three guns and assorted charms were recovered,” the source added.
The command spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the suspected land grabbers to newsmen on Thursday.
He said, “On Friday, April 11, at about 7:25 pm, a complainant of Owutu area of Ikorodu reported at Owutu Division in the company of a vigilante member reported that one Segun was sighted moving suspiciously.
“When he was questioned, he could not give a satisfactory account of himself. However, he was searched and one pistol with two rounds of live ammunition and one phone was found in his bag.”
After you are equipped with power level 2 gear in RuneScape Dragonwilds, you need to start crafting the next tier gear to prepare for Fractured Plains. Wool Thread is one of the main items for crafting power level 3 gear, but sadly, it can only be crafted from materials found in Fractured Plains itself. The wool thread will also be useful in building the Loom and Padded Cloth. Want to get your hands on some? To help you out, here we have made a complete guide on how to make wool thread in RuneScape DragonWilds.
How to Get Wool Thread in RuneScape DragonWilds
Wool is an essential item for crafting mid-to-end-game gear, like power level 3 armor and weapons, or Wool cloths. The item can be crafted using a Spinning Wheel and requires Fleece or Soft Animal Fur as processing material. Here is a complete step-by-step guide on how to get Wool Thread in RuneScape DragonWilds.
1. Build a Spinning Wheel
The first thing you need to do to make wool thread is build a Spinning Wheel. The Spinning Wheel is also used to craft Coarse Threads, which are an early game item for crafting gear. Here are the materials you need to build a Spinning Wheel in RuneScape DragonWilds:
12 Ash Logs
4 Flax
2 Stones
Image Credit: Jagex (screenshot by Sanmay Chakrabarti/Beebom)
You can get cut Ash Logs from Ash trees, mine Stones from Stone Boulders, and collect Flax in the Bramblemead Valley. After you have obtained the items, open the Build menu and select Spinning Wheel from the Crafting tab. Build the Spinning Wheel inside a shelter and move to the next section.
2. Get Fleece and Soft Animal Fur
After building a spinning wheel, you will need to gather the materials to craft wool thread. Two materials can be processed to get wool thread, which are:
Soft Animal Fur: drops from Wolf
Fleece: drops from Sheep
Both items can be obtained in Fractured Plains, which can be found North of Whispering Swamp. One thing to note is that the Wolves are particularly strong in Fractured Ruins, so make sure to be properly geared for fighting them.
The Sheep, on the other hand, are docile and don’t fight back. However, they can still run away when attacked. Once you’ve gathered both materials, keep reading.
3. Craft Wool Thread
After you have obtained Soft Animal Fur or Fleece, you can process them in the Spinning Wheel to craft Wool Threads. Here are the material processing ratios for Wool Threads:
1 Fleece: 1 Wool Thread
3 Soft Animal Fur: 1 Wool Thread
As you get more wool threads from fleece, it is much better to farm sheep over wolves. So, that’s how you can obtain Wool Thread in RuneScape DragonWilds. If you have any further questions, ask us in the comments section below.

The Ondo State Police Command has refuted reports suggesting that a vehicle from the convoy of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was responsible for the tragic death of a young girl in Akure on Thursday.
The First Lady was in the state capital for the launch of the Renewed Hope Initiative Health Programme, during which she distributed 10,000 professional kits, including Crocs and scrubs, to midwives across the South-West zone.
An online publication had alleged that a car from her convoy struck and killed a nine-year-old girl in the Oba-Ile area of Akure.
However, in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olufunmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the command described the report as “false and misleading.”
“Eyewitness accounts and preliminary investigations conducted by the Command confirm that the incident was caused by a hit-and-run driver operating an unregistered white Lexus vehicle—not by any vehicle associated with the First Lady’s convoy,” the statement said.
Odunlami-Omisanya further explained that a witness, who was at the scene, immediately pursued the fleeing vehicle on a motorcycle. Multiple bystanders and the victim’s own parents corroborated this account, affirming that the First Lady’s convoy was not involved.
The police also corrected misinformation in the initial report regarding the victim’s age. Contrary to claims that the girl was nine years old, her parents confirmed she was seven.
“This inaccuracy further underscores the publication’s lack of respect for truth, especially in such a sensitive matter,” the spokesperson added.
In a show of empathy, the Ondo State Commissioner of Police personally visited the bereaved family, offering condolences and promising a thorough and transparent investigation to bring the culprit to justice.
“At no point was the First Lady’s convoy involved in this tragedy,” Odunlami-Omisanya reaffirmed, calling on media outlets to exercise responsibility and verify facts before disseminating information that could inflame public sentiment or tarnish reputations.
Seattle police apprehended a 33-year-old woman on Thursday evening following an incident at a West Seattle gas station where she allegedly stole hot coffee and assaulted an employee. The confrontation occurred at a gas station located in the 5400 block of Delridge Way Southwest around 9:17 p.m. on April 10.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 45-year-old clerk who was soaked in coffee and visibly distressed, exhibiting signs of severe pain with a bright red face, neck, and chest.
Gas station workers often encounter various situations, ranging from routine transactions to confrontational encounters. In this case, the employee’s attempt to resolve the situation by asking the woman to pay for her coffee resulted in a violent response. Such incidents can have lasting effects on employees, impacting their sense of security and well-being in their workplace.
According to the gas station employee, the woman had been in the store for approximately 15 minutes without making a purchase. He reported that she filled two cups with hot coffee from the coffee station but left with one cup without paying, abandoning the second cup at the counter.
When the clerk followed her outside, asking her to pay for the coffee, she responded by hurling the hot beverage at him, hitting his face and upper chest. Following the attack, the woman fled across the street and entered an apartment building in the same block.
The claim of self-defense raises legal questions that will likely be examined in court, as the circumstances surrounding her actions will be scrutinized. Seattle police located and detained her shortly thereafter. During questioning, the woman claimed she threw the coffee in self-defense.
She was subsequently booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of robbery. Meanwhile, medics from the Seattle Fire Department arrived to provide medical assistance to the gas station employee, who ultimately declined to be transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Manchester United’s recruitment strategy has shifted focus towards securing young, high-potential talents as part of their long-term rebuild.
Names like Diego Leon, Patrick Dorgu, Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi all reflect the tactical direction United have adopted in the transfer market.
Now, another name sits firmly on the club’s radar.
River Plate’s exciting attacking midfielder Franco Mastantuono.
United are keen to trigger the teenager’s release clause, as previously reported on CentreDevils.
The Red Devils are believed to be monitoring the situation closely.
Chelsea to battle with Red Devils for Franco Mastantuono
However, competition for Mastantuono’s signature is intensifying, with Chelsea now firmly in the race.
According to journalist Gustavo Yarroch on his YouTube channel, Chelsea are well-placed and see Mastantuono as part of their long-term strategy to secure creative midfield talent early.
Even if it means meeting his €45 million release clause, which they are prepared to do.
Barcelona have also been tracking the River Plate starlet, while Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool all remain interested.
Although Barcelona’s financial situation could leave them at a disadvantage.
Atletico recently sent scouts to Argentina to assess the 17-year-old’s progress.

Mastantuono signed his first professional contract with River Plate in August 2023.
It included a €40 million release clause that climbs by €5 million during the final 10 days of any transfer window.
The Blues are prepared to reach that figure in order to stay ahead of rivals, including Manchester United.
He has previously spoke on his focus on improving at his current club, despite the volume of interest.
It could shape up to be one of the more fiercely contested youth transfer races of the summer.

A United Airlines airplane flying from Denver, Colorado, to Edmonton, Canada, on Sunday appeared to experience a major engine fire due to a “possible wildlife strike,” which forced the airplane to return to the Denver International Airport.
In a statement obtained by The New York Post, United Airlines said, “Our flight from Denver to Edmonton (UA2325) returned safely to Denver to address a possible wildlife strike.” United Airlines confirmed to Fox Business that the airplane involved in Sunday’s incident was a Boeing 737-800.
According to Fox Business, none of the 153 passengers and six crew members aboard the Boeing 737-800 were injured in Sunday’s incident. The outlet noted that the airline later arranged for a different aircraft to transport the passengers to Edmonton following the airplane’s safe return to the airport.
In a video shared by ABC News, the Boeing 737-800’s flight crew can be heard requesting that the aircraft be inspected for an engine fire, while the pilot claimed that the “possible wildlife strike” was caused by a rabbit. The pilot can be heard saying, “Rabbit through the number 2 [engine], that’ll do it.”

Describing what happened on the United Airlines flight, passenger Scott Wolff told ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “There was a loud bang, and a significant vibration in the plane.”
“Every few moments there was a backfire coming from the engine, a giant fireball behind it,” Wolff added. “Everyone in the plane then started to panic.”
Wyatt McCurry, who witnessed the engine fire from the ground at the Denver International Airport, told “Good Morning America,” “My stomach dropped and I just thought, ‘I’m going to see a plane go down.’”
The video of Sunday’s airplane incident shows bright flashes of light repeatedly coming from the engine due to the engine fire caused by the “possible wildlife strike.” The flashes of light were seen from the ground at the Denver International Airport.

Former Rivers State Governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
Wike, in a televised media chat on Friday, said while he was not happy with the declaration of the president, the decision saved Rivers State from implosion.
He said he would have preferred the outright removal of the Governor from office, but the president’s decision saved him.
The former Rivers governor who has been at loggerheads with his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara said he is open to forgiving the governor if he apologises.
“As a politician, I am not happy about the state of emergency in Rivers State. I wanted his outright removal of Governor Fubara. The President by declaring state of emergency, saved Fubara,” Wike said at media
Recall that President Bola Tinubu imposed a state of emergency in the state on March 18 citing the lingering political crisis and its effects on democracy, security, and citizens’ well-being as reasons for the declaration.
Tinubu referred to security reports of pipeline vandalism by militants and the inability of the governor and legislature to work together as justification for his intervention.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new U.S. intelligence assessment found no coordination between Tren de Aragua and the Venezuelan government, contradicting statements that Trump administration officials have made to justify their invocation of the Alien Enemies Act and deporting Venezuelan migrants, according to U.S. officials.
The classified assessment from the National Intelligence Council, released this month, is more comprehensive and authoritative than an earlier intelligence product released Feb. 26 and reported last month by The New York Times, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the assessment. They were not authorized to address the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The new assessment draws input from the 18 agencies that comprise the intelligence community. It repeatedly stated that Tren de Aragua, a gang that originated in a prison in Venezuela, is not coordinated with or supported by the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro, or senior officials in the Venezuelan government. While the assessment found minimal contact between some members of the gang and low-level members of the Venezuelan government, there was a consensus that there was no coordination or directive role between gang and government.
The assessment provided support and extensive sourcing for those assertions, according to the officials. Of the 18 organizations that make up the U.S. government’s intelligence community, only one — the FBI — did not agree with the findings.
It is not uncommon for intelligence agencies to differ in their assessments on matters of great public interest. But the latest assessment was significant for its near unanimity.
Several years ago, under former Director Christopher Wray, the FBI assessed that the COVID-19 pandemic most likely originated from a lab leak, though that was hardly the uniform consensus. The position got recent support from a CIA assessment declassified in January.
Asked for comment, the White House shared a statement on Friday from the office of the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.
“President Trump took necessary and historic action to safeguard our nation when he deported these violent Tren de Aragua terrorists,” the statement said. “Now that America is safer without these terrorists in our cities, deep state actors have resorted to using their propaganda arm to attack the President’s successful policies.”
The assessment comes amid a court ruling on the Alien Enemies Act
The intelligence assessment’s findings come as the Supreme Court ruled last week that the Trump administration can use the Alien Enemies Act, a 1798 wartime law, to deport Venezuelan migrants — but that the migrants must get court hearings before they’re taken from the United States.
Tren de Aragua has been linked to a series of kidnappings, extortion and other crimes throughout the Western Hemisphere. Those activities are tied to a mass exodus of millions of Venezuelans as their country’s economy unraveled over the past decade.
The Alien Enemies Act was created to give the president wide powers to imprison and deport noncitizens in time of war. Until now, it has been used just three times, most recently eight decades ago during World War II to justify the detention of Japanese-American civilians.
The American Civil Liberties Union, which has filed legal challenges to the Trump administration’s use of the law, contends that Trump does not have the authority to use the Alien Enemies Act against a criminal gang rather than a recognized state.
Trump says Tren de Aragua ‘infiltrated’ Maduro government
President Donald Trump invoked the act in March, declaring in a proclamation that Tren de Aragua “is closely aligned with, and indeed has infiltrated, the Maduro regime, including its military and law enforcement apparatus.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi repeated that assertion Monday night in an interview on Fox News Channel. Bondi defended the invocation of the wartime law and called Tren de Aragua “a foreign arm of the Venezuelan government.”
“They are organized. They have a command structure. And they have invaded our country,” she said.
Last month, the Trump administration used the Alien Enemies Act to fly more than 130 men accused of being members of the gang to El Salvador, where the U.S. has paid for the men to be held in a notorious prison. The Venezuelans deported under the act received no opportunity to challenge the orders, and attorneys for many of the men have said there is no evidence they are gang members.
The Trump administration has argued that the gang has become an invading force and designated it, along with seven other crime groups, as “foreign terrorist organizations.”
The latest intelligence assessment was first reported Thursday by The Washington Post.
Associated Press writers David Klepper and Eric Tucker contributed to this report.
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens, the primate of the Orthodox Church of Greece, spoke with Breitbart News recently, sharing his thoughts about the re-election of President Trump.
The Greek primate described Trump’s election as positive, praising his economic and cultural vision while urging caution to prevent global conflicts. While commending Trump for “benefiting the world,” the Archbishop advised him to implement changes “slowly and steadily,” remain attentive to average citizens’ needs, and exercise restraint to avoid a potential return to “harsh times.”
“The election of President Trump was a positive development,” the Archbishop said. “I would like to tell him that we need change, such as the reforms he is trying to implement, but reforms that we can and should understand. For example, when the U.S. relationship with China shifts alongside changing economic dynamics, it could lead to opposite effects and escalation or even a war. Europe is preparing for such a negative scenario. The economy is shifting every day. Rising prices are burdening families, and life is becoming harder. My message here is that we must focus our attention on the younger generations.”
Abp. Ieronymos also said Trump is helping steer the world away from the immoral LGBT agenda:
“In Greece same-sex marriage hasn’t been accepted by a large portion of society,” Ieronymos II said. Recall that Greek politicians became the first from an Orthodox state to legalize gay marriage Greece becomes first Orthodox country to legalize gay marriageGreek Parliament voted late last night, despite the fierce and persistent resistance from the Church and society, to legalize gay marriage and adoption by gay couples.
“>last February.
“We believe in human freedom, but that doesn’t mean extreme actions and demonstrations or activism that largely provokes people. We can’t and we shouldn’t force politicians to vote for something they fundamentally disagree with. All of this has shocked the average citizen in the previous years,” Abp. Ieronymos said.
“Then Trump’s victory came and the President made it clear that there are only two genders and we noticed that many global leaders and EU leaders started to repeat the same argument.”
Further, the Orthodox hierarch cautions the U.S. President to do everything methodically:
In many ways, I commend him and I believe he is benefiting the world. But he also needs sometimes to show a little restraint. People are afraid that if things go wrong, we might return to harsh times. President Trump needs to be aware of the needs of the average person and he plays well this role. But also, I want to remind him that the Church is a force that always can offer support and strength to the people. I’ve always admired our ancestors who used to say that if we want to move fast, we must move forward slowly and steadily. I’ve been following President Trump closely, he’s very active. We do need many changes, but not rushed ones. Step by step I believe he can contribute positively to the world.
Archbishop Elpidophoros of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America also praised President Trump “You remind me of Emperor Constantine,” Archbishop Elpidophoros tells President Trump (+VIDEO)The Archbishop was welcomed to the White House by the head of state yesterday for an event marking the 204th anniversary of Greek Independence Day—a celebration the White House has held every year since 1987.
