  • Actor Paul Rodriguez drug possession case rejected due to insufficient evidence

Paul Rodriguez will not face any legal consequences following his recent arrest for drug possession, as the city where he was detained has decided not to proceed with the case. According to the Burbank City Attorney, the case was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

Rodriguez was arrested in late March after police allegedly found narcotics during a traffic stop. However, Rodriguez insisted the drugs were not his. He explained that he was asleep in the passenger seat of the car when officers woke him up. His friend, who was driving, admitted that the drugs belonged to her, but Rodriguez claims he was still roughly arrested.

In response to Rodriguez’s allegations of misconduct, police argued that he did not mention any mistreatment during his conversation with the watch commander before being released.

Rodriguez’s attorney, Bobby Samini, expressed appreciation for the decision to drop the case, stating that Rodriguez was innocent and never possessed any controlled substances. Samini also praised Rodriguez’s supporters for their encouragement during the ordeal.

  • Will There Be ‘Bad Boys 5’? All Leaks and Speculations

“Bad Boys, Bad Boys, What You Gonna Do When They Come For You.” This title track was on the mind of every person who watched Bad Boys when the movie first came out in 2003, and since then, generation after generation has been grooving on this track. Most recently, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth installment of the franchise, was released and took Hollywood by storm, breaking charts left, right, and center. Most fans believed this movie was going to conclude the franchise. But, there has been chatter of a Bad Boys 5 movie happening, and I’m here to tell you all about it.

What Are The Possibilities of Bad Boys 5 Happening?

After the enthralling performance delivered by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, no one would complain if Mike and Marcus made a comeback on the big screen. Some time back, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lawrence was asked about the prospects of Bad Boys 5 ever happening. To this, he responded by saying:

“We’ll have to see, You know I never say never, but it [Bad Boys 5] also has to make sense. If the fans ask for it, you know we could be back.”

Based on this comment, it seems obvious that the fate of this franchise is heavily in the hands of the fanbase (not really, though, right? The bigwig studios get to make those decisions). As far as I think, fans, including myself, do wish to see the dynamic duo back on our screens. We will see if we have been heard or not.

What Does Will Smith Have to Say About Bad Boys 5?

Will Smith, in the same interview as Lawrence, expressed his desire to return as Mike Lowrey in Bad Boys 5. The actor confirmed that he is always open to playing the character again. Will Smith stated that working on Bad Boys has been an absolute joy and further shared an extremely good condition to mark his return in the franchise. He commented,

“I never wanted to be one of those dudes who make sequels just because people will go. I want to make them because there is something to say and the characters have a place that they’re developing to that will be interesting and fun to watch and maybe even a little helpful.”

With that being said, it’s safe to say that whenever we get to see the next Bad Boys on screen, it will most definitely turn out to be not just a cash cow but something that is actually worth watching just like Ride or Die.

What is the Latest Update on Bad Boys 5?

Recently, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence was again asked about the future of The Bad Boys Franchise. To this question, the actor shared an exciting response, saying that he and Will have not talked about a story for Bad Boys 5, but Sony seems to be pretty interested in making the movie. In his comment, he stated,

“It means a great deal to me because that was me and Will’s baby. You know, that’s what we started with. And to get four strong, successful films out of them, we couldn’t ask for much more. And hopefully, as long as the audience wants to see them, we’ll be able to put them out. I think we gotta give you five. That’s what I’m thinking. Me and Will Smith haven’t talked about an idea or nothing, but the studio is.”

So, now that Martin himself has confirmed that Sony is interested in making Bad Boys 5, there is a good chance that we will get news of an upcoming sequel to Ride or Die very soon. With the current information we have, things look rather positive for the franchise. That said, let’s wait and see what happens and till then, stay tuned!

  • PDP is not ready for 2027 election, Wike asserts

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has questioned the preparedness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, describing the opposition party as lacking cohesion and seriousness.

Speaking during a live media parley in Abuja on Friday, Wike, a former governor and PDP stalwart now serving in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, argued that the PDP is hampered by internal divisions and power struggles that threaten its electoral prospects.

“The PDP is not ready for the 2027 election. It is very obvious,” he said. “It’s like someone pretending to prepare for an examination—carrying books around just to be seen studying, without any real effort. That’s the PDP. They’re not reading. They’re just acting like they are.”

Wike’s remarks come amid ongoing efforts by opposition figures to form a united political coalition capable of challenging the APC’s dominance in the next election cycle. However, those talks have been plagued by conflicting interests and factional disputes, especially within the PDP.

He warned that the party’s continued internal wrangling has undermining any chance of revival ahead of the next national polls.

“Power struggle cannot help the party,” he added, emphasizing that unity and strategic focus, not grandstanding, would be key to reclaiming power.

Wike’s comments are likely to further deepen tensions within the PDP, where his perceived closeness to the APC-led federal government has drawn criticism from party loyalists who view his ministerial role as a betrayal of the opposition’s cause.

Despite the criticisms, Wike has remained unapologetic about his political stance, insisting that his actions are driven by a commitment to national development and good governance rather than party loyalty.

  • Rayan Cherki wanted by both Manchester United and Liverpool

Manchester United are looking to remodel their squad this summer as The Red Devils fight to return to their former winning ways.

It’s clear that after their worst ever Premier League season, significant changes ned to be made to the squad, with United looking to offload Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, who have both cost the club with results and in massive transfer fees they’ve failed to live up to.

Now, United are looking to the summer to bring in new talent, with Rayan Cherki making his way onto their shortlist.

The Lyon winger scored in both games of the Europa League Quarter-Final, with United snatching victory after a dramatic comeback last night to win 5-4.

Throughout the season, Cherki has been a star for the Ligue 1 side, with 12 goals and 18 assists in 39 games, with his versatility shining through.

Although naturally a right winger, Cherki has been deployed across both wings, as a striker and in attacking midfield, with his youth and versatility perfectly matching United’s recruitment profile.

However, this isn’t the first time that United have been interested in the 21-year-old.

Manchester United’s long-standing interest in Rayan Cherki

When he was 15 years old, Cherki was invited from the Lyon Under-19s side to visit Carrington and Old Trafford in the hope of signing him, however nothing materialised.

Now, The Daily Mail has reported that not only are United attempting to sign him for a second time, but Liverpool are also entering the race for his signature.

It’s understood that with a year left on his contract, Cherki has a release clause of £25 million, with Bayern Munich and PSG also circling the star.

With so much high-level interest in Cherki, it’s expected that he will leave Lyon this summer with Lyon desperate to secure a top-four finish to qualify for Champions League football next year.

  • Hubble offers a new view of the Sombrero galaxy

To mark its 35th anniversary, the European Space Agency (ESA) is revisiting iconic Hubble images with updated data and improved processing. The first release features NGC 346, followed by a refreshed image of the Sombrero Galaxy, which highlights finer details in its disk and showcases additional stars and galaxies in the background.

Located 30 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo, the Sombrero Galaxy is easily identified by its striking appearance. Viewed nearly edge-on, its glowing core and sharply defined disk resemble a Mexican hat, giving the galaxy its name.

Although packed with stars, it forms fewer than one solar mass of new stars each year. Its supermassive black hole, 2,000 times heavier than the Milky Way’s, remains unexpectedly quiet.

Although too faint for the naked eye, the Sombrero Galaxy can be spotted with a small amateur telescope. Its apparent size, about one-third of the Moon’s diameter, required a mosaic of Hubble images to capture its full extent.

Hubble glimpse a dazzling view of ‘Little Sombrero’

Its nearly edge-on viewing angle reveals striking dust clumps contrasting with a bright core, resembling Saturn’s rings on a galactic scale. This angle, however, complicates classification, as the galaxy combines features of both spirals and ellipticals without fitting neatly into either category.

Hubble’s study of metal-rich stars in its halo suggests a past merger with a massive galaxy billions of years ago, shedding light on its unique structure and appearance.

  • Who’s Really Pulling the Strings in Portuguese Politics and Press?

    .

USAID has operated in Portugal since 1975, even before democratic elections were held. Chega pointed to the agency’s exorbitant budget, for decades spent with very little oversight. The party further underlined that the organisation has been exposed for extremely biased priorities in its funding, which Chega classified as “ideological crusading.”

The recommendation mentions a number of scandals connected to the agency and stresses its role in funding projects aimed at censoring conservatives all over the world under the guise of “fighting disinformation,” including outright paying journalists.

It is an established fact—exposed by then-Senator, now U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio—that LGBT and drag queen festivals in Portugal were subsidised by USAID. These festivals included screening movies featuring homosexual acts with minors, for instance.

Chega’s recommendation, submitted in March, calls for all USAID funding to be accounted for, in governmental, academic, media, and NGO activities in Portugal. This would have some consequences in Portugal yet, if part of a Europe-wide effort, such requests may contribute to exposing and diminishing left-wing and Democratic Party influence over the Old Continent. Who can forget, for one, the Samantha Power-led USAID’s efforts, at interfering in Hungary’s electoral process?

While Portugal’s NGO sector is fairly weak compared to regions such as Central and Eastern Europe, the influence of foreign progressive internationalism has also been felt in the Iberian republic. George Soros is an inevitable presence, considering the vast amounts of money the multi-billionaire activist has poured into the transnational network of political influencing.

For instance, Soros funds the Poynter Institute, which certifies ‘official fact-checkers.’ Poynter has certified Polígrafo, an entity quoted as an authority on ‘truth’ by some of Portugal’s biggest media outlets, such as the SIC TV franchise and the newspaper ExpressoPolígrafo does not even conceal its mission as denouncing—exclusively—lies uttered by politicians. If ‘disinformation’ is propagated by the people paid to tell the truth—journalists—Polígrafo has nothing to say. Additionally, Polígrafo is also financed by Meta, one of the biggest purveyors of online political censorship.

Both SIC and Expresso are owned by one of the founders of PSD (Partido Social Democrata) and are regarded as the voice of the centre-right in Portugal. For the Lisbon-based media and PSD, being ‘centre-right’ means extolling the virtues of Barack Obama and employing pundits such as Carmo Afonso, who petitioned the Constitutional Court for the banning of Chega. In Expresso, Carmo Afonso also praised the Black Lives Matter race riots and expressed admiration for BLM’s successful extortion of multinationals such as Mark Jacobs through vandalism.

More directly, George Soros also funds the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) which released the Panama Papers, Paradise Papers, Pandora Papers, and others. In Portugal, the Consortium’s contact is an Expresso journalist…

Soros’s Open Society Foundations have also been reported as funding the UK-based organisation Hope Not Hate (HNH). HNH claims to fight extremism but admits that it only looks at ‘right-wing extremism.’ In fact, HNH’s ties to leftist violence are such that a report by the Swedish Institute for Defence Studies—a think-tank of the Swedish military—identified HNH as part of an international network of activist entities dedicated to the harassment, intimidation, and incitement against political-ideological foes in the ‘Extremist and Violent Propaganda’ chapter of said report. In Expresso, Hope Not Hate is mentioned as a credible source of journalism.

Even if the Chega proposal is heeded, uncovering where all the USAID money went would still only be showing the tip of the iceberg—or one of the tentacles of the octopus—of all the foreign money currently promoting extremism in Portugal and subverting Portuguese sovereignty.

One can only hope that the Trump administration’s actions will throw more light on the contamination of the West by transnational radical lobbies.

  • PDP Not Ready For 2027- Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not ready for the 2027 election.

Wike commented on Friday during a live media interview in Abuja.

He said the party has been torn apart by a crisis as such that could help its cause.

The PDP have been divided over who leads the party into the next election, with the interim leadership rejecting a national convention to produce new leadership.

Wike, who is a member of the PDP but is serving in the government of the All Progressives Congress, has been blamed for the leadership crisis, with reports that the majority of the national executive members are his political associates.

While not commenting on that on Friday, he curiously stressed the importance of party unity and early preparation as crucial to winning an election.

Wike said, “The PDP is not ready for the 2027 election. It is very obvious. For instance, I have an examination, and I am going to class to read. Indeed, am I reading? Am I studying?

“You don’t need to deceive anybody that you are reading. You are only trying to read so that people will see that you have carried your bag to class.

“That is the situation of the PDP. So, they cannot say for sure that they are ready for 2027. Power struggle cannot help the party.”

  • JD Vance visits Italy and Vatican after tangling with pope on migration

ROME (AP) — U.S. Vice President JD Vance arrived in Rome on Friday for meetings with the Vatican No. 2 and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, fresh off the Italian leader’s visit to the White House a day earlier.

Meloni, who has positioned herself as a bridge between the U.S. and Europe, received praise from President Donald Trump for her crackdown on migration during a meeting at the Oval Office on Thursday.

Vance, who attended the meetings, was scheduled to meet with the Italian leader Friday in Rome and planned to attend Easter weekend events at the Vatican.

He was scheduled to meet with the Vatican secretary of state, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the White House said.

No meeting with Pope Francis was announced. The 88-year-old pope has sharply cut back his work schedule as he recovers from a near-fatal case of double pneumonia.

Francis and Vance, a Catholic convert, have tangled sharply over migration and the Trump administration’s plans to deport migrants en masse.

Just days before he was hospitalized, Francis blasted the administration’s deportation plans, warning that they would deprive migrants of their inherent dignity. In a letter to U.S. bishops, Francis also apparently responded to Vance directly for having claimed that Catholic doctrine justified such policies.

Vance has acknowledged Francis’ criticism but has said he would continue to defend his views.
