  • Wike reveals reason he opposed Atiku in 2023

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed the reason he vehemently opposed Atiku Abubakars presidential ambition in 2023.  Wike said his decision to oppose Atiku was solely based on principle, contrary to claims that he did so because the former Vice President didnt pick him as his running mate,  Apart from his persistent call for power rotation, Wike claimed Atiku was not a trustworthy politician. I wanted power rotation, I could not have imagined that after eight years of Buhari, power goes to north again. It is not about whether you chose to field me or not, its about principle. To take that decision was difficult and a decision has to be taken and I looked at it, Atiku was not an option, so, he is a no go area, Wike said. The former Governor of Rivers State explained that the main reason he opposed Atikus ambition was due to his dishonesty.  Let me tell you from day one, I told my delegates when they came that one thing you must know is that Atiku does not keep to his words, Wike claimed.  Citing how Atiku, Saraki and Secondus allegedly deceived him in 2019, Wike said he knew from day one that Atiku wouldnt choose him as his running mate. He (Wike) has never banked on the ex-Vice Presidents words. I can tell you authoritatively what happened. In 2019, Atiku, Saraki and Secondus came to see me that I was going to nominate the attorney general and minister of petroleum. When we lost the election, the man who was supposed to bring the attorney general did not know when the legal team was constituted, and I laughed; I watched it on television, and I now called Saraki; you people have constituted a legal team, and you said I was going to bring attorney general.  I know from day one that Atiku will never keep to his words and Ive never banked on that, I will not take his words to the bank, Wike said.  The post Wike reveals reason he opposed Atiku in2023 appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.

  • How to Get More Darts in Beaks

The much-awaited bird hunting game, Beaks, has finally released on Roblox. But mind you, you’re not hunting and killing the birds; instead, you shoot at them with tranquilizer darts to sedate them and add them to your collection. Though the default darts are aplenty and will never run out, they are not the best for taking down the birds. Thus, if you are on the lookout for the steps to get more, different darts in Beaks, we have you covered.

Best Way to Get Darts in Beaks

Roblox players know the plight of running out of Fisch bait while catching fish. While that is not the case in Beaks, as you have an infinite amount of default darts, there are plenty of other Beaks darts, such as Golden dart, Mythical dart, and more, that you would want to obtain to catch birds easily or with mutations.

To get these special darts in any of the Beaks locations, you can simply visit the Dartsmith. They go by different names, like Darth in Beakwoods or Needle in Mount Beaks. Moreover, you cannot just buy darts from them. Instead, you pay a sum to roll three random darts. You can read about all Beaks darts available in the game in our dedicated list here.

Here are the dialogues that you need to select and the money you need to spend to get darts from the different dartsmiths:

    • Darth (Beakwoods, $200) – Can I get something cheap? I’m kinda broke
    • Needle (Mount Beaks, $800) – Can I get something light on the coin?
    • Longshot (Quill Lake, $400) – Got anything cheap?
    • Scar (Deadlands, $1000) – Got anything that won’t rot my hand off?

This is a bizarre luck-based mechanic for equipment that is essential to Beaks’ gameplay. And even if the developers want to use this mechanic, they should at least give players a chance to earn more darts. Currently, there is no way to roll more darts at once.

With this knowledge under your belt, I believe you will be able to travel the world of Beaks and catch some of the rarest birds in this Roblox game. If you still have any doubts about darts, let us know in the comments section. Happy hunting tranquilizing!

  • Google Ends Updates for Three Iconic Smartphones

I think it’s safe to say that if you’re still holding on to an old Android phone, you put yourself in harms way – one way or another. Google has ended support via updates for 3 iconic smartphones and this means that the time has come for you to… think about it, if you’re still a pproud owner of a Google Pixel 3a, Samsung Galaxy S10, or a OnePlus 7 model. No more patches, no more fixes—just a growing list of vulnerabilities and no safety net.

These devices, all stuck on Android 12 or Android 12L, have officially stopped receiving monthly security updates from Google. That means no protection against new exploits or malware threats. If you’re still using one of them, you’re now on your own.

    Quiet Shutdown, Real Consequences

Google didn’t issue a big announcement. In fact, the move was so low-key that most people didn’t notice until Android 12 vanished from the April security bulletin. Android Authority picked up on the omission, confirming what many had suspected: support ended quietly, without fanfare, sometime in late March.

What does that mean in practice? These phones are now easy targets. Without patches, they’re vulnerable to zero-day exploits, data breaches, and all the other digital threats that evolve month by month.

    Samsung Galaxy S10 series

    Outdated and Exposed

Unless manufacturers step in with their own updates—which is unlikely—these phones won’t get any further protection.

Samsung’s newer phones now get up to seven years of security updates, but that policy doesn’t extend to the Galaxy S10. That device is well beyond its support window. OnePlus, on the other hand, has always capped software support at three years. The OnePlus 7 crossed that mark a while ago.

In other words: these phones are effectively abandoned with no more updates from Google.

And it couldn’t come at a worse time. Google’s latest security bulletin highlights two high-risk vulnerabilities that are already being exploited in the wild. Devices stuck on Android 12 won’t receive the patches needed to protect against them—leaving users open to data theft, hacked apps, and even compromised banking details.

    OnePlus 7

    Time to Move On

Security experts aren’t sugarcoating it: if you’re using one of these phones, it’s time to upgrade. Updating isn’t just about getting shiny new features—it’s about protecting your personal information, your money, and your peace of mind.

This isn’t just the end of updates for a few old phones. It’s a wake-up call. Software support is a ticking clock, and once it stops, so does your device’s defense against a rapidly evolving digital threat landscape.

  • 2027: Atiku accuses Wike of betrayal, defends opposition coalition

Former Vice President and 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Friday, fired back at Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, calling him a traitor and accusing him of working against both his party and the interests of Nigerians.

The accusation comes on the heels of Wike’s recent comments during a media briefing in Abuja on Friday, where he dismissed the new opposition coalition spearheaded by Atiku, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, as self-serving and insincere.

The coalition, announced on March 20, 2025, is being framed by its architects as a united front to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. Its emergence has stirred heated debates across political circles, raising questions about opposition unity and the possibility of dislodging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Wike, however, was unsparing in his criticism. “Those looking for a coalition are doing so for selfish interests, the likes of Atiku and other people. Which coalition, with whom?” he asked. “Everybody wants to become president of the country, nobody wants to say, ‘Let me build our party so that we’ll be in a formidable position.’”

He accused Atiku and others of abandoning the PDP’s internal crises, prioritizing personal ambitions over rebuilding the party. “You don’t do that,” Wike said. “If it doesn’t happen their way, then it’s ‘to your tents, oh Israel.’”

Responding to Wike’s remarks, Atiku’s spokesperson, Paul Ibe, described Wike as the last person qualified to speak on sincerity or party loyalty. He said Wike had betrayed the PDP by aligning with the APC, all while attempting to dismantle the party from within.

“This is a man who is actively working with the APC to destroy and undermine his own party and the interests of Nigerians,” Ibe stated. “Wike has no moral authority to speak on integrity. None.”

The statement did not mince words in its criticism of Wike’s current role in Rivers State politics either. “He is trying to assert total control over Rivers, working in cahoots with Abuja to destabilize the state government. How can such a person lecture anyone on unity or sincerity?”

Atiku’s camp, however, reaffirmed its commitment to the coalition, which it described as a vehicle for frustrated and hopeful Nigerians to take back their country. “The coalition isn’t about Atiku, Obi, or El-Rufai. It’s about Nigeria,” Ibe emphasized. “The people involved are simply tools to an end and that end is reclaiming a country lost to the chaos and mismanagement of the APC.”

As the road to 2027 begins to take shape, tensions within the opposition appear far from settled. The drama between party elders like Atiku and Wike not only reflects the deep fractures within the PDP but also reveals the urgency of building consensus if any coalition is to stand a real chance against the formidable power of incumbency.

Whether the new coalition will survive the egos and suspicions that have historically plagued Nigerian opposition alliances remains to be seen.

  • Authorities prevent Moldovan bishop from going to Jerusalem for Holy Fire

    Chișinău, April 19, 2025

    spzh.live

Moldovan authorities blocked a hierarch of the Moldovan Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate from flying to Jerusalem to retrieve the Holy Fire.

“I still don’t understand why I wasn’t released to Israel,” His Eminence Archbishop Marchel of Bălți and Fălești told First in Moldova News.

The hierarch was pulled aside for an “inspection” at the Chișinău Airport on Holy Thursday and was held without his passport until after his flight had already departed. He was never given any explanation for why he wasn’t permitted to travel.

Meanwhile, the delegation from the Romanian Orthodox Church’s Metropolis of Bessarabia was permitted to fly to Israel to witness and bring back the Holy Fire.

For three decades, there have been two overlapping jurisdictions in Moldova: the Moscow Patriarchate’s Metropolis of Chișinău and All Moldova and the Romanian Orthodox Church’s Metropolis of Bessarabia, which have essentially tolerated each other since the latter was reestablished in 1991 by a bishop formerly of the Russian Church’s structure. However, relations have severely deteriorated since the start of the war in Ukraine. A number of clerics and parishes have moved from the Moscow to the Romanian side, but as these transitions were made without a canonical release, a number of the clerics have been defrocked. However, the Metropolis of Bessarabia has declared these canonical sanctions null and void, and Romanian Synod establishes “Romanian Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” Ukrainian hierarch respondsA number of important decisions were made during the session of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church held in Bucharest on February 29.

“>on February 29, the Holy Synod of the entire Romanian Orthodox Church took the same position.

The hierarchs and faithful of the Moldovan Orthodox Church have felt increasingly Moldovan Orthodox Church: “Cease the moral torture of the Church”“The Church feels pressures similar to those from the Soviet period. More and more threats are being thrown at the Church and its servants,” writes His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chișinău and All Moldova.

“>pressured by the state in the past few years.

His Eminence Metropolitan Luke of Zaporozhye of the persecuted Ukrainian Orthodox Church expressed support for Abp. Marchel and the entire Moldovan Orthodox Church:

I learned with regret that Archbishop Marchel has encountered obstacles that will prevent him from witnessing the descent of the Holy Fire. I have repeatedly observed this miracle, truly a miracle, despite the fact that there are forces that cannot tolerate its radiance and invent various fables about its origin. Succumbing to their provocations, I too doubted, and the Lord personally revealed a miracle to me—the Fire hadn’t yet appeared in the Edicule, but on the second floor, my acquaintance’s candles lit up by themselves. Therefore, I, like no other, understand the feelings of Vladyka Marchel, and even more so his and all the Moldovan flock.

On this day, which every Orthodox Christian experiences with deep repentance and heartfelt contrition, I want to express my sincere support to the fullness of the Orthodox Church of Moldova. As it is said in the Gospel, If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also (Jn. 15:20). Don’t despair. On the contrary, it’s necessary to strengthen your hearts with faith, love and hope. Various forces may discriminate against the Church, trample on the fundamental rights of its clergy and parishioners, obstruct the trip to the Holy Land to deliver the Holy Fire to all faithful children of the Orthodox Church of Moldova. However, no one can deprive us of God’s mercy and support.

The Holy Fire is the harbinger of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, a visible sign of His love and care for us. Whoever rejects this gift rejects Divine grace. And instead of the Lord’s blessing, they bring upon themselves various troubles and disorders. For a truly believing soul, any trial is another step towards God. Through repentance, humility, and hope in the One who gave His life for the salvation of mankind from sin and eternal death.

Therefore, I dare to call on our Moldovan brothers and sisters to stand firm in the faith, hold fast to their Mother Church, and place all their worries in God’s hands. After all, as St. Theophan the Recluse very accurately said, “the Lord builds everything, and in the best way for us.” According to your faith, let it be to you. May the Merciful and long-suffering Lord send a particle of His Holy Fire into the heart of everyone who, despite everything, remains faithful to Him and their Mother Church!
