Cristiano Ronaldo is certainly one of the stranger combatants to be added as a guest character in a fighting game like Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. After all, Cristiano Ronaldo is a real life football star duking it out with fictional characters in the Fatal Fury world.
Though the character will be available at launch, it seems that he won’t initially be usable in every mode within Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves when it releases on April 24, 2025 (April 21, 2025 at midnight for early access).
According to SNK, Cristiano Ronaldo will not be available in Arcade Mode, Episodes of South Town, and Color Edit at launch. However, Ronaldo will eventually be included in Arcade Mode and Episodes of South Town in a future update.
This suggests that Ronaldo will never become a subject for the Color Edit feature. This is likely a consequence of dealing with implementing a real life person into the roster of a video game.
Of course, it’s curious to note that there have been no announcements like this for Salvatore Ganacci, another real life guest character appearing in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
There’s always the possibility that Ronaldo could be added to the Color Edit feature in the future, but we’ll have to wait for that announcement to know for sure.
