  • REDMI Turbo 4 Pro: Xiaomi’s Next “Turbo” Powerhouse Set to Launch on April 24th

Xiaomi is gearing up to drop its latest powerhouse: the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, officially arriving on April 24. Positioned as the newest addition to the Turbo lineup, the Pro variant builds on the momentum of the standard Turbo 4, which debuted earlier this year.

What’s under the hood? Xiaomi has already confirmed that the phone will run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. That alone makes it one of the most anticipated Android devices this season, especially among performance-focused users.

Premium Looks Without the Premium Price

At first glance, the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro looks like it belongs in a higher price tier. It features an ultra-slim bezel layout, highlighted by a distinctive large R-angle design on the front—something usually reserved for flagship phones. Its metal frame adds to the premium feel, and the rear is covered in a soft mist glass finish, giving it a sophisticated look without going overboard.

In a recent Weibo post, Redmi China head Thomas Wang confirmed the device will come in three color options: white, green, and black. According to Wang, this isn’t your typical midrange build. “We’re using a flagship-grade metal frame, not the plastic you often see in this segment,” he said. The overall finish, he claims, rivals devices that cost upwards of 5,000 yuan (around $690).

REDMI Turbo 4 Pro Rumored Specs

While official specs haven’t been fully released, leaks and early listings have painted a pretty clear picture:

    • Display: 6.83-inch OLED panel with a crisp 2800 x 1280 resolution (1.5K), 120Hz refresh rate
    • Processor: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (4nm), up to 3.2GHz, paired with Adreno 825 GPU
    • RAM/Storage: 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM; storage options up to a massive 1TB (UFS 4.0)
    • Software: Ships with Android 15 and Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2
    • Cameras: 50MP main with OIS and EIS, 8MP ultra-wide; 20MP front camera
    • Video: Capable of shooting 4K at 60fps
    • Extras: In-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, USB-C audio, and infrared sensor
    • Durability: IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings—meaning it’s dust-tight and can take serious splashes
    • Connectivity: Full 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, advanced GPS support
    • Battery: 7550mAh with fast 90W charging
    • Build: 163.1 x 77.93 x 7.98mm, weighing 219g

    Why It Matters

Redmi’s Turbo series is fast becoming the go-to for users who want top-tier performance without breaking the bank. And with the Turbo 4 Pro, Xiaomi seems determined to close the gap between midrange pricing and flagship quality. Between the cutting-edge processor, impressive camera system, and rugged, elegant design, this phone is shaping up to be more than just a spec sheet winner—it’s a potential category disrupter.

Keep an eye on April 24. This one might just shake up the smartphone market.

  • Manchester United keeping tabs on former winger

Manchester United’s summer plans could depend heavily on their final standings in both the Premier League and the Europa League.

A spot in the Champions League would significantly boost their transfer budget, especially with financial restrictions posing a concern.

Manager Ruben Amorim has reportedly submitted a list of priority positions to address, with attacking reinforcements high on the agenda.

While interest in elite-level strikers continues—most notably Victor Osimhen—United are also actively monitoring versatile wide players.

And one name on that list might come as a surprise to fans.

Manchester United are considering a reunion with one of their former academy stars, as Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga emerges as a top transfer target, as per CaughtOffside.

Anthony Elanga, 22, has been sensational for Forest this season, racking up six goals and nine assists, and playing a central role in their unexpected push for a European spot.

One of those goals came against United at the start of this month as Forest trumped 1-0 winners.

His raw pace, direct attacking style and ability to operate across the front line have caught the eye of several Premier League giants, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs.

But it is Manchester United’s interest that stands out, with the club reportedly tracking his progress closely and considering a formal approach.

Anthony Elanga left Old Trafford last summer in search of regular football, and his development at the City Ground has surpassed expectations.

Forest are desperate to hold on to their star man and are even looking at extending his current deal until 2030.

However, reports suggest that a bid in excess of €50 million could turn their heads, especially if financial pressures mount or if they fail to secure European football.

For United, this wouldn’t be the first time they’ve brought back a former player, having done so with Paul Pogba and most recently Jonny Evans.

Elanga’s familiarity with the club, age profile, and current form make him an attractive proposition—especially with players like Antony and Jadon Sancho facing uncertain futures.

If a deal materialises, it would represent a full-circle moment for the Swedish international, and potentially a key step in United’s rebuild under Amorim.

The summer window could mark another bold chapter in the club’s efforts to combine youth, pace, and proven Premier League experience.

  • Screen time surprise under grandparents’ care

Grandparents are increasingly acting as caregivers and managing their grandchildren’s media use. However, research on this topic, especially in the U.S. and involving grandfathers, is limited. A recent study examined children’s screen time under the care of grandparents, the media strategies employed by grandparents, factors influencing these strategies, and how grandparents’ views on media impact disagreements with their adult children and their relationship satisfaction.

New research from the University of Arizona reveals that screens often play a significant role in the caregiving of grandchildren by their grandparents in the U.S. The study shows that nearly half of American children spend time under their grandparents’ supervision watching or engaging with media on screens. Previous studies focused on grandparents in other countries, but this research highlights how screen time is managed in U.S. households.

Through this research, researchers discovered that media consumption is essential for grandchildren, and understanding media is equally crucial for grandparents. Grandparents may want to watch with their grandchildren or wish to understand what the children are watching.

The study surveyed 350 American grandparents who regularly care for at least one grandchild aged between 2 and 10 years. They were asked about their time with their grandchildren and their strategies for managing media consumption.

Deaths in the family can affect the educational attainment of children

Survey participants shared details about their living arrangements with their grandchildren: 35% never lived with them, 25% spent a few weeks per year with their grandchildren, 6% lived together for less than six months annually, 8% lived with them at least half the year, and 10% lived with them year-round.

Grandparents reported on the most recent time they cared for their grandchildren, specifying the number of hours the child spent using media, including TV, movies, devices, video games, or apps. They were also asked about their media management strategies, such as supervising, instructing, restricting, or co-using with their grandchildren.

Supervision means monitoring your grandchild’s media activities. Being instructive involves explaining the content to them, while restrictive actions set limits on screen time or accessible content. Co-using refers to watching or engaging with media alongside your grandchild.

Along with examining children’s media consumption and grandparents’ mediation strategies, the research team asked participants to rate their digital skills on a four-point scale. Participants also shared their perspectives on what they believe are the positive and negative impacts of media consumption. They described the severity of any media-related disagreements they have with their grandchild’s parents.

When grandparents cared for their grandchildren, children spent nearly half of the average seven-hour visit using media, including two hours watching TV and one hour on video games or internet devices.

Grandparents mostly monitored media use, followed by limiting screen time or discussing content with their grandchildren. They rarely joined their grandchildren in viewing or playing. Younger or tech-savvy grandparents were more likely to engage in discussions about media safety, while those less familiar with technology often restricted content. Grandfathers generally supervised less than grandmothers, but tech knowledge improved supervision for all.

Grandparents with negative views on media were more likely to disagree with their adult children about media use, whereas positive views were associated with increased relationship satisfaction. The study emphasized that media use is a significant part of children’s routines and highlighted how grandparents’ confidence with technology strongly influenced their approach to managing media use. Developing tech skills could help grandparents better guide their grandchildren’s media habits.

  • BREAKING: Pope Francis Dies At 88 After Recent Illness, Vatican Confirms

Pope Francis has died at the age of 88, the Vatican announced on Easter Monday.

His death follows a recent period of illness that had seen the pontiff hospitalised and largely absent from Holy Week liturgies, raising widespread concern over his health.

According to Vatican News, the Holy Father passed away peacefully at 7:35 a.m. in his residence at the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta.

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, had served as Bishop of Rome and head of the Roman Catholic Church since 2013, when he succeeded Pope Benedict XVI following his unprecedented resignation. Over the past year, concerns had mounted over Francis’ fragile health, with repeated respiratory issues and hospital stays — the most recent of which occurred in March, prompting scaled-back public appearances during Lent and Easter.

The news of his passing was confirmed in a statement by Cardinal Kevin Farrell.

“Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis.

“At 7.35am this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church.

“He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage and universal love, especially in favour of the poorest and most marginalised.

“With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God.”

Despite his deteriorating condition, Pope Francis appeared on Easter Sunday to deliver what would be his final Urbi et Orbi message — to the city and to the world. His words, laced with hope, resilience, and compassion, now resonate as a spiritual farewell.

“Christ, my hope, has risen,” Pope Francis announced, calling on the faithful to turn their gaze to the empty tomb.

He spoke of the Resurrection not as an abstract idea but as a living, transformative force.

“Today too,” he said, “he takes upon himself all the evil that oppresses us and transfigures it.”

“Love has triumphed over hatred, light over darkness, and truth over falsehood. Forgiveness has triumphed over revenge,” he said. “Evil has not disappeared from history; it will remain until the end, but it no longer has the upper hand; it no longer has power over those who accept the grace of this day.”

Even amid the joy of Easter, the Pope’s heart remained with those in suffering. He turned his attention to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, delivering a passionate plea for peace.

He spoke first of the Holy Land, “wounded by conflict,” and home to an “endless outburst of violence.” He extended his closeness, in particular, to the people of Gaza and to the Christian community in the enclave where “the terrible conflict continues to cause death and destruction and to create a dramatic and deplorable humanitarian situation.”

“I appeal once again,” he said, “for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, for the release of the hostages… and for access to humanitarian aid.”

His words once again called on the international community to act and “come to the aid of a starving people that aspires to a future of peace.”

Pope Francis will be remembered not only as the first pontiff from the Americas, but as a spiritual reformer and a voice for the voiceless, who placed mercy and justice at the heart of his ministry.

  • Should You Buy PS5 Pro for GTA 6? Answered

We’ve had a few system-selling games this generation, but nothing will move consoles quite as much as GTA 6. The impending release of Rockstar’s open-world title has already fans scrambling to get a PS5 or an Xbox Series X/S. Sales across both platforms are sure to skyrocket in the final months before release. However, the majority of PS fans are wondering whether the existing PS5 will do or if they need a new PS5 Pro just to play GTA 6? Turns out, the answer is more complex than you think. If you’re a part of this camp, keep reading as I attempt to break down whether it’s worth getting the PS5 Pro for GTA 6.

How Will GTA 6 Run on the PS5 Pro? (Speculations)

If you’re seriously considering a PS5 Pro primarily to play GTA 6, this is the most important question on your mind. While we don’t have a concrete answer on how well the game will run on the premium PS5 variant, we can draw some conclusions based on expert opinions, the hardware itself, and how Rockstar games have historically performed on consoles.

For starters, it’s crucial to understand just how much of an upgrade the PS5 Pro is over the base version. Sony’s mid-generation console comes with a 67% increase in GPU compute units and a 28% boost in memory bandwidth. When combined, these improvements result in 45% faster game rendering compared to the standard PS5. On top of this, the new console also supports native upscaling tech named PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).

But are these upgrades substantial enough to deliver 60 FPS on GTA 6? An expert in the space doesn’t think so.

The expert in question is Richard Leadbetter of Digital Foundry, who provided his analysis on the matter while speaking to IGN. When asked if the game could run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro, he stated,

“No. Grand Theft Auto games have always run complex simulations that push the CPU hard, which is why every GTA game has initially launched on their target platforms at 30 FPS. The PS5 Pro uses the same CPU as the PS5, and it would be extremely challenging to hit 60 FPS if the base PS5 version is targeting 30fps. This isn’t a GPU problem, it’s a CPU problem”

Leadbetter went on to clarify that he expects “higher quality visuals” on the PS5 Pro, which has historically been the case for Rockstar releases. Let’s take Red Dead Redemption 2’s performance on the PS4 and the PS4 Pro for example. Despite the hardware upgrade, both platforms operated with a 30 FPS target for the game. The only difference was improved resolution and better texture quality on the Pro model.

One could argue that the reason behind PS4 Pro’s framerate lock was the lack of patch support from the developers. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the mid-generation system failed to deliver buttery-smooth gameplay. This was also the case for GTA 5, and on this occasion, even a generational leap from the PS3 to the PS4 didn’t allow for any framerate improvements.

After examining all these points, it’s safe to conclude that GTA 6 will likely run with a 30 FPS target on the PS5 Pro. That said, we can reasonably expect a resolution target closer to pure 4K, alongside better texture quality, compared to the base PS5.

Should You Get a PS5 Pro to Play GTA 6?

    Pole Position GTA 6

The simple answer is that it depends. If you want to leave no stone unturned and play the game at the highest visual fidelity on release, the PS5 Pro is the way to go. But if you don’t mind the internal resolution hovering between 1440p and 1080p, and possibly a bit lower, it’s worth sticking with the base PS5.

It’s also important to keep in mind that Rockstar might leverage the more powerful hardware and release a 60 FPS patch for the PS5 Pro in the future. However, they have historically shied away from this, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

And now you know if you should get a PS5 Pro to run GTA 6. It’s a tricky question to answer, especially since we know so little about the game. Let us know in the comments if you’ll be purchasing the PS5 Pro to play GTA 6.
