Tin halide perovskites (THPs) are eco-friendly alternatives to lead-based solar cells, but their efficiency remains lower due to poor thin-film quality. Creating 2D/3D heterostructures helps improve crystallization and reduce defects, but the slower nucleation of 2D THPs causes phase segregation, affecting performance and durability.
University of Queensland researchers have achieved a record solar cell efficiency of 16.65% with THP technology—nearly one percentage point higher than the previous best. This significant breakthrough matches many silicon-based solar cells but offers the potential to be cheaper and faster to produce.
Professor Wang’s lab broke a record for THP solar cell efficiency, marking another milestone in advancing renewable energy. This achievement comes five years after the team set a power conversion benchmark using quantum dots, which inspired methods to improve THP thin-film solar cells. Dr. Dongxu He highlighted THP solar cells’ commercial potential due to their sustainability compared to silicon-based alternatives.
Tin halide perovskites (THPs) offer the eco-friendly advantage of using tin instead of toxic lead, making them safer for home installations. However, using tin precursors previously resulted in low-quality thin films, reducing efficiency.
Optimizing the stability of low-cost, large-area solar modules
Dr. Peng Chen and the research team addressed this issue by adding cesium ions, which improved the microstructure and reduced defects in the THP films, enhancing their performance.
This enabled them to achieve a record level of efficiency while still producing a product that met stringent environmental standards.
The improved efficiency and adaptability of THP solar cells position them as strong contenders for household photovoltaic panels, making them suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Additionally, the techniques outlined in the study could be extended to other advanced technologies that require high-quality perovskite films, including lasers, photodetectors, and transistors.

President Bola Tinubu has described the passing of Pope Francis as a “sacred return to his Maker” owing to the timing of his death after Easter celebrations.
In a personal statement on Monday, Tinubu joined Catholics and Christians worldwide in mourning the 266th Pope, who passed away just a day after delivering the traditional Easter Sunday blessing at St. Peter’s Basilica.
His passing, coming just after the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection, is a sacred return to his Maker at a time of renewed hope for Christians,” Tinubu stated. The Nigerian leader eulogised Pope Francis as “a humble servant of God, tireless champion of the poor, and guiding light for millions.”
He recalled the Pope’s emergence on the global stage in 2013 with a message of mercy that urged people to recognise Christ in marginalised communities, refugees, migrants, and the forgotten.
Tinubu also made reference to the Pope’s advocacy for economic justice in developing nations and his consistent calls for peace in troubled regions around the world.
“He was an instrument of peace who deeply embodied the message of Christ: love for God and love for humanity. In a time of division, he built bridges between faiths and the rich and the poor.
“He was a steadfast advocate for the developing world, where he consistently spoke against economic injustice and ceaselessly prayed for peace and stability in troubled regions.
“His encyclicals were not only doctrinal and seminal but also timely and relevant. Through his pastoral letters, the Pope offered spiritual clarity and hope in an increasingly complex world. He charted a path of renewal for all humanity through his words and deeds,” he wrote.
Tinubu also noted the Pope’s environmental advocacy, describing him as “the world’s most trenchant voice for justice and action against climate change.”
In his tribute, Tinubu referenced his own 2025 Easter Message in which he had expressed gratitude for the then-convalescing Pontiff.
“I was happy to watch his appearance to deliver the traditional Easter Sunday blessing in St. Peter’s Basilica.
“Alas, the Lord called him home a day after, making the world lose its most trenchant voice for justice and action against climate change. May the good Lord, whom he served with all his might, receive him into His eternal bosom.
“As we mourn the late Pontiff, let us also celebrate his legacy. Let us honour him not with words alone but with action: by lifting those who are down, healing our communities, and defending the dignity of every person.
“On behalf of the government and the people of Nigeria, I extend condolences to the Catholic Church, the global Catholic community, and the Christian faithful.
“May God Almighty grant His beloved servant eternal rest,” the Nigerian leader concluded.

The young Houston Rockets were introduced to the NBA playoffs by the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. And sadly for them, I don’t think they’ll be staying around long.
Because, for all the talk about defense winning championships, the truth is that offense actually brings home trophies.
Yes, defense is vital in the NBA playoffs. But you know what’s even more important? Getting buckets.
And “Steph Curry usually finds a way,” Draymond Green said after the Warriors’ 95-85 Game 1 win Sunday.
Yes, he does. And — get this — his new sidekick is a man literally nicknamed “Buckets.”
Meanwhile, what do the Rockets have? A pesky attitude and a 22-year-old one-way center. Those are two things that will get you into the playoffs but not much further.
Yes, all evidence — including Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals series between Houston and Golden State — says that the Rockets cannot score. And with all due respect to a still-underrated Warriors defense, that issue goes beyond anything the Dubs are doing on that side of the court.
So spare me the Lone Star cope about offensive rebounding advantages or how shots “just didn’t fall.” The Warriors showed the Rockets who they are in Game 1, and the Rockets did the same in return.
The Warriors are experienced, but also flawed, and complicated (that’s a compliment). They boast the greatest shooter who has ever lived—a four-time champion and one of the best big-game players in recent NBA history, who knows this might be his last best chance to become a champion.
And the Rockets? They’re young, athletic, inexperienced, and downright putrid on offense.

“They’re not a typical modern NBA team … They’re kind of old school. It felt like 1997 out there to me — completely different NBA game than what we’re used to,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of the Rockets.
He meant it as a compliment. I read it as a criticism. No offense to Kerr, who played in the ’90s, but basketball was a much uglier watch back then. (Seriously, watch a complete ’90s game on YouTube and then try to complain about all the 3-point shooting in 2025 — you can’t do it.)
But ’90s basketball can’t win 30 years later.
I’ve covered enough playoff series to know it’s a fool’s errand to make broad series proclamations after one game, but consider me a fool:
I don’t see Houston coming back to win this one.
They will run into a few and have a nice shooting night, or maybe two. (Then again, what isn’t “nice” compared to 39 percent shooting from the field and 20 percent shooting from beyond the arc.)
And perhaps the Warriors have the opposite happen to them — Houston’s defense can certainly clamp down on the Dubs for a game or two.
But those two factors happening in four of the next six games?
That’s a downright ridiculous idea. It’s far too fanciful to bet upon.
No, it only took one half of basketball — just the second quarter, really — to see how big of a mismatch this series is.

The Warriors countered Houston’s seemingly singular defensive idea of putting center Alperen Şengün on a wing by allowing that wing to initiate the offense at the top of the key. Curry, off the ball, was freed up just enough to score 10 in the second, and Butler added seven with his Steph-off-the-court unit outscoring Houston 14-4, as the Warriors won the frame 29-13.
Meanwhile, Green and Butler were anchoring a defense that flummoxed the Rockets’ already unimpressive offense. Houston spent most of the game hunting Curry when the Dubs were on defense, but they weren’t good enough offensively to draw the fouls.
Still, the Dubs moved to zone defenses, but proved adept at switching into man-to-man defenses halfway through possessions. When it took away Şengün’s mid-post floater — literally half the Rockets’ offense early in the game — you could sense the panic on the Houston bench from 2,000 miles away.
Yes, just like in the 2022 NBA Finals, there’s a matching coaching mismatch at play here, too. Ime Udoka and his staff have a few clever ideas every now and again — Şengün on Moses Moody was one of them from earlier this month — but once those concepts are countered, they’re adrift at sea.
Seriously, did the Rockets run a single offensive set on Sunday that wasn’t a short-roll for Şengün?
Udoka is a motivator, and a fine one at that. But, much like we saw when Udoka was the head coach of the Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals, you can’t demand the ball to go through the basket. That form of coaching only gets you so far.
With this team, it’s far, to be exact.

And while the Warriors shouldn’t have turned a blowout win into a far-too-interesting game by, once again, taking their foot off the accelerator in the second half of a one-sided contest, the fact remains that Kerr coached circles around Udoka on Sunday.
This, while Kerr did his typical and often aggravating Game 1 experimentations. Kerr got away with overplaying Buddy Hield while having to eat some tough Brandin Podziemski and Moody minutes in the process.
The latter two players came through with flying colors in the clutch, though. And that’s what really matters.
Even if the Rockets shoot better and stymie Curry a bit more, they’ll have a tight game down the stretch at best.
The Warriors have been outstanding in such situations since the acquisition of Butler.
The Rockets might be the worst team in the playoffs in such circumstances.
Sunday, the Warriors closed, from 6 minutes to 1 minute to play, by shooting 6-of-11 from the floor.
Houston went 2-for-8 during the same stretch.
It all lines up with how the Rockets have played all year. On the season, the team’s effective shooting percentage is on par with that of teams competing for the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft: Utah, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington, and Charlotte.
And in the final five minutes of close games this season, the Rockets are the NBA’s worst offensive team, posting an abysmal effective field goal percentage of 43 in 157 such “clutch” situations (final five minutes, within five points).
The Warriors might not be great under the same circumstances, but anything can beat what the Rockets put out there.
Houston was able to grab the No. 2 seed because they’re a pain in the rear to play on a Tuesday night in December. Every game is a fist fight for them, and in the regular season, no one expects to be punched with brass knuckles.
But come playoff time, quality opponents expect even more than just some five-fingered chrome. They’re ready for the whole armory. And who has seen more — and taken more punches — than Curry, Green, Kerr, and the Warriors?
So the Dubs will keep finding ways to score, even against a strong Houston defense. Curry can drive to soften up the Rockets’ defense (particularly when Şengün is on the floor) and then make shots no one else would even dare attempt.
Butler can probe on the dribble, creating good offense through patience and collective intelligence.
Together, the dynamic duo scored 56 points on 57 percent shooting Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Rockets are out here running the same play in the mid-post again and again and again while Şengün’s teammates channeled Rockets teams of the decade past by clanking shot after shot, even on some open looks, despite a woeful lack of spacing.
There are no adjustments the Rockets can make — no way to take a woeful offense and make it worthy of winning a series.
Even after all these years, the Rockets are still not ready-for-primetime players.
While it was only one game, the Warriors showed that old habits—like finding ways to win in the playoffs, and particularly in Houston—die hard.
Jmcrofts recently teamed up with GuileWinQuote to uncover some of the most obscure secrets that can be found in SNK fighting games. A video was recently released that had both content creators revealing five fun Easter eggs each.
GuileWinQuote started off by talking about Samurai Shodown 2, originally released back in 1994. Although there aren’t any taunts in Samurai Shodown 2, each character has a distinct set of inputs that can temporarily transform them into chibi recreations of themselves.
It’s funny that the inputs required to do this are actually quite complex. This was seemingly done to exclude the possibility of players accidentally pulling it off. Additionally, doing this doesn’t actually have any advantages, so it might as well just be a really long taunt that requires a complicated series of inputs.
Following this, Jmcrofts brings mention to the judge in the background of each stage. Under certain conditions, he will actually challenge the player as a secret boss fight.
His name is Kukoro. Although he looks a little goofy fighting with flags, he’s actually a crazy challenging encounter for any player.
Later in the video, Jmcrofts highlights a secret win animation for Choi in King of Fighters ’98. It requires probably the most convoluted variables in play for it to happen. As such, Jmcrofts refers to this as the “rarest Easter egg” as it’s probably impossible to see it without a guide in hand.
I hope you all had a holy and happy Easter, sharing your joy in the Resurrection with the ones you love.
This Easter season, I have been reflecting on the virtue of hope, as we celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope declared by Pope Francis.
I’ve been reflecting on the meaning of hope and also on what it is that we hope for.
Although everyone is different, it seems that there are certain hopes we have in common.
We all hope for love and happiness in our lives and in our families; we hope for work that will sustain our families; we hope that our loved ones will be kept free from evil.
We also hope that our children will grow to know and love Jesus and find love and happiness in their lives. We hope that our elders will grow old with grace and good health and that eventually they will have a good and holy death and go to heaven.
We hope for peace in the world and in our neighborhoods and communities.
These hopes form the substance of people’s everyday prayers, worries, and dreams. To realize these hopes, people will often make sacrifices and put off satisfying their own immediate needs and wants.
But these daily hopes are not enough. Our hearts need a greater hope, we need God.
The great hope that we all share is to know that our lives matter, that we make a difference, that there is a reason and purpose for our lives, and that our sufferings and hardships are not all for nothing.
We all hope for a love that is pure and true, a love that transcends this mortal life, a love that will last forever. And we all hope that death is not the end, that this earthly life is not all there is.
These are hopes that can be found in every human heart, in every time and place.
Easter is God’s answer to everything that we hope for.
In Jesus, the living God comes to reveal himself in human flesh, he comes to show us his face and open his heart for us.
Jesus reveals that we are loved and that our lives have a purpose in God’s plan.
He gives a path to walk and promises that if we walk this path with him, if we live by his teaching and example, then we will find happiness and love in this life and live with him forever in his kingdom, in a love that never ends!
This is the beautiful hope that we have as Catholics. It is a hope born out of the blood that Jesus shed for us on the cross.
This Year of Hope invites us, once again, to establish our lives on the strong foundation of this hope that we have in Jesus, the hope of salvation, the hope of glory, the hope of eternal life.
By this hope we know that this world is not our home, that we are just passing through our way to a better country, a heavenly one.
By this hope we know that whatever happens in our lives, whatever sufferings we’re asked to bear, whatever dark valleys we’re called to walk, Jesus goes with us, and he will give us the strength we need.
Hope means trusting in God’s plan, no matter where he leads us. In sickness and health, in tragedy and sorrow, in joy and good fortune.
One of the saints said, “I am definitely loved and whatever happens to me, I am awaited by this Love. And so my life is good.”
Our life is good, too. And we know that our life is bound for glory.
Jesus will love us until the end. And we know that when our earthly life is over, the God who is Love will be waiting to welcome us.
Jesus left us the gift of the Eucharist as a pledge of the glory to come.
The apostles and early Church Fathers used to call the Eucharist “the medicine of immortality, the antidote of death, and the food that makes us live forever in Jesus Christ.”
In this year of hope, I pray that all of us in the Church will recover that same awareness that by sharing in his body and blood we will live forever, and he will raise us up on the last day.
Pray for me and I will pray for you.
And during this Easter season in the Year of Hope, let us ask holy Mary, the Mother of Hope, to keep us always close to her Son, knowing that he is leading us to the hope that awaits us in heaven.

A Nigerian woman, Culater Enkay, has claimed that 70-80% of divorced women are dating married men. The post 70-80% of divorced women are dating married men – Nigerian woman says appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
Mrs. Shimite Bello Love (née Nwakalo), Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Trade and Export, has died under circumstances that have sparked serious suspicion and controversy.
Popularly known as Madam Sabificate, Shimite allegedly died of poisoning on Easter Sunday. Family sources told SaharaReporters that her husband, Pastor David Favour Love, has been arrested by the police following allegations that he poisoned her. Witnesses claimed she was foaming at the mouth before her death.
The late adviser reportedly passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital, Asaba, where she was rushed for emergency treatment.
Shimite, who contested the Oshimili North constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly during the 2023 PDP primaries, had previously served as the Executive Secretary of the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency during Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
She was also the Group President/CEO of the Quintessential Group—a conglomerate comprising NGOs, social enterprises, and companies operating in agriculture and solid minerals.
A family member, who requested anonymity, told SaharaReporters that Shimite was in good health just a day before her death.
“I spoke with her for over an hour on Saturday. She was vibrant and told me about a meeting she had earlier attended. Nothing was wrong with her,” the source said. “On Sunday, I sent her Easter messages, but she didn’t reply—which was unusual.”
According to the source, the family’s alarm was raised when Shimite’s maid called her elder brother, expressing concern that the husband had locked Shimite in the house all day.
“Her brother rushed over and found her inside the house with foam already coming out of her mouth. He took her to the hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival. The police were immediately called and arrested her husband.”
Family members allege that Shimite’s husband had isolated her from loved ones and tightly controlled her movements.
“Since he came into her life, he cut everyone off. Her brother couldn’t even visit. He wouldn’t let her go to the office. He was always trailing her. Even the name on all her properties in Abuja and elsewhere was changed to his name. We believe she was manipulated—hypnotised even,” a family source said.
“If she were not hypnotised, which woman with her right senses would do such? What kind of love is that your husband would follow you everywhere you went, and you wouldn’t see anything wrong with that? Your husband would lock you in and not allow you to go to the office?
“Anytime you tell Shimite about certain things, she would tell you, ‘Don’t worry, my husband is a pastor. He’s my spiritual father. He sees everything.’ It’s very unfortunate Shimite had to learn the hard way. How could a special adviser to a governor just die like that?”
Sources close to the family described Pastor David as “overprotective” and “jealous,” and suggested he was intimidated by Shimite’s prominence and beauty.
“The man had nothing before meeting her. He only came to drain her. It’s heartbreaking.”
Efforts to reach the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, were unsuccessful, as his mobile line was unreachable at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, Shimite’s body has been deposited in the mortuary as police investigations into her death continue.
There’s no shortage of ways to make money in GTA 5, including a fully functional stock market where you can invest your ill-gotten gains to make a clean profit. But just like real life, you’ll need to first understand how the market works, which stocks to invest in, and at what times. Simply put, you’re neither a bear nor a bull, just a clever opportunist whose actions dictate the fate of specific holdings. If you want some of that Wall Street action, this guide is for you. So suit up and dive in as we show you the absolute best stocks to buy in GTA 5 right here.
How Does the GTA 5 Stock Market Work?
GTA 5 has two separate stock markets: the LCN Exchange (Liberty City National) and BAWSAQ. The former is entirely offline, meaning the in-game events influence how the market moves. As for the latter, BAWSAQ is an online market that requires an internet connection to function.
All stock movement on this market is mainly driven by the community, but your actions in specific missions can cause significant short-term effects.
To access the GTA 5 stock markets, bring up the phone while playing as any character and click on the Internet icon. Then, select the Money and Services tab, and you’ll find options for both the LCN and BAWSAQ.
Another important point to remember is that market volatility occurs over multiple in-game hours. So, if you’re betting on a stock’s value to rise or decline, you’ll need to skip ahead by sleeping to avoid staring at your screen for multiple real-life hours. Depending on which of the three protagonists you’ve chosen, the number of sleeps required can differ, but you’re typically looking at 3-4 times to skip a whole day.
Best GTA 5 Stocks to Buy
The best GTA 5 stocks to buy are all linked to in-game missions where you assassinate a prominent figure associated with a corporation. Naturally, this causes the company’s stock to collapse while its rivals see an immediate upturn. To profit from this, you’ll need to purchase the holdings we’ve described in each entry before the mission, and then sell them once their value rises.
Before you start this twisted version of insider trading, it’s best to make sure that your bank is loaded for maximum profit. For this, we recommend progressing past The Paleto Score, at the very least. With that, here are the best GTA 5 story mode stocks to invest in:
1. Betta Pharmaceuticals and Bilkinton Research (The Hotel Assassination)
The first assassination mission will task Franklin with taking out Brett Lowrey, the CEO of Bilkinton Research. The game offers two ways to approach this, with the first being a classic long-range execution, and the other involves planting a bomb in his vehicle.
Before starting the mission, dump all your money into Betta Pharmaceuticals (BET), which is listed on BAWSAQ. After taking out Lowrey, wait two in-game hours, and then head over to your portfolio to find a return of 50%.
The other stock linked to this mission is Bilkinton Research (BIL) itself. Following the assassination of its CEO, the company’s stock declines rapidly. So, head over to LCN and buy the dip. After making the purchase, wait 72 in-game hours and then sell the stock for a potential return of up to 100%.
2. Debonaire and Redwood Cigarettes (The Multi-Target Assassination)
In this mission, Lester asks Franklin to take care of four corrupt Jurors who are presiding over a case surrounding Redwood Cigarettes. With a nine-minute deadline and four different targets, completing this one might be tricky.
Fortunately, there’s plenty of reward in store for your efforts. Before starting the mission, make sure to deposit all your money into Debonaire (DEB), which is listed on the LCN. Once it’s done, wait two in-game days and then return to your portfolio to cash out for a 60% return.
Now it’s time to profit off Redwood Cigarette’s misery, so wait until RWC plummets to as low as possible, which can take up to two in-game days. Purchase tons of the stock and wait for at least 72 in-game hours before selling for a massive potential return of 300%.
3. Fruit Computers and Facade (The Vice Assassination)
The Vice Assassinations has you manipulating the stocks of two tech giants by taking out Jackson Skinner, the product development head at Facade. The mission is pretty straightforward as you head to his location and are free to kill Skinner however you please.
Before starting the mission, make a wise decision and pool your money into Fruit Computers (FRT) on BAWSAQ. Then, wait 48 in-game hours and hit the sell button for a 50% return.
The second stock you’ll be purchasing is Facade (FAC), also on BAWSAQ, which suffers a steep decline, soon after the mission. Buy the dip and skip through 48 in-game hours for a solid 35% return.
This is another straightforward assassination mission, and you also have to purchase just one stock on this occasion. The target is Isaac Penny, a venture capitalist looking to gain a controlling share in Vapid Motors. To take him out, Franklin has to cosplay as a bus driver and wait for the right moment to get rid of Penny.
Vapid (VAP) is the only stock involved here, so open up the BAWSAQ website and buy it after two in-game hours have passed since completing the mission. Now, wait for two in-game days and keep an eye on the market. Once the potential return hits 100%, sell off your holdings.
The final assassination mission from Lester is easily the most action-packed of the lot. In it, Franklin heads to a construction site swarming with security to take out Enzo Bonelli, a crooked real estate developer whose demise leads to a surge in the value of Gold Coast Development.
Before you take on the mission, head to LCN and purchase Gold Coast (GCD) in large quantities. Once Bonelli is out of the picture, wait two in-game hours and return to your portfolio to cash in on a potential return of 75%.
Completing these missions and selling off the stocks at the right moment are sure to fetch you a ton of money. As such, these are the best stocks to get in GTA 5. After trying it out for yourself, be sure to let us know about your biggest haul in the comments below!
